Review by Rose Strailo

I found that I liked the style of writing and the various descriptions. I did find some of the parts to be rather dry, but I understand the way that it helped pushed the story forward and gave the necessary information the reader needs without being overbearing.
The characters were nicely developed and I could see them used in a chapter story. It means to me that the writer, in this case, D Writes, took the time to understand the characters even before really writing the story. It helps make the stories realer to the reader, and did so to me.
All in all, it was a wonderful story that I wouldn't mind reading again, dry parts and all. Very nicely done.

When reading this story, I felt like the narrator was sitting next tp me and telling me his real story. Coz it sounded so real. Especially the first part. It's so true... D has done a great job. I really really liked the way he presented the 'shadows', the whispering shadows. And the last one- the shadows of hope.

Well-done, D!! biggrin.gif

Take care,
Ieshwar

P.S I have listened to 'Taking Chances' by Celine. Great! smile.gif

When I was reading this story, I could really feel the emotional turmoil Aman was going through...

This is a good, strong piece of writing and a great one at that. The characters were well developed and I agree with Rose when she says that D took a long time getting to 'know' them. I loved the character of Jenny.. especially cause I also had a friend like her.

And btw, I love Palika Bazaar... tongue.gif

Beasty, what do I say to you? A mere 'thank you' wouldn't be appropriate cos you really helped me a lot with this, so hug.gif
Ps. Who doesn't love Palika? tongue.gif

Great story! I love the atmosphere you created by putting the characters in the dark in the space behind the main part of the store.

One of the many things I loved about this story was how non-glib it was. It would've been so easy to have Aman find another boyfriend, but instead we're left with some uncertainty. Why was he asked to go out for a drink? Since this is GA, we may think it's because Sahil is gay, but it could be that Sahil just wants to get to know someone better who he'll be spending a lot of time with. Sahil also may be afraid of the dark, and put forward his offer to avoid being left behind. That's real life -- we don't know, though we can make guesses.

Getting over a relationship, especially one that ended abruptly, isn't easy. Aman is working his way through it and he's doing it in a great way.

Thanks, D Writes! biggrin.gif
