It's a bit wild around here for me, as I had a busy weekend with friends in town and what not. Toss in some issues at work and here I am writing Today's blog today!

Today is going to be a potpourri of sorts. The b...

stories 2.0
Time for the October Tech Blog. This month we'll be talking about the progress of the software development for the new forum software and our plans and rough schedule going forward. The forum software company, Invision, released IP.Board 4.0.0 Beta 1 today. They included the Forums, Blog, Gallery, and Downloads (which we use for our eBooks). The missing S...

Rating Your Stories *Action Required*

Posted by , in Site News 13 October 2014 · 525 views

It has come to our attention that some stories that should be rated "mature" are rated as "everyone". Stories MUST be rated appropriately to ensure that we continue to receive our Google Adsense revenue, which allows the site to remain open and free.

I have included the guidelines for story ratings to assist in determining what the story rating should be...

new software
As we roll into the Fall season, we have started testing the Forum 4.0 software betas. This is the first major step into upgrading GA. The software is still being developed and we're getting a chance to test it. We are also using this time to refine the Stories 2.0 software specifications so that we can make sure everything is fully integrated.

tech blog
It's that time again. This month is probably going to be a little more boring than usual. We have updated our Privacy Policy, which can be found linked at the bottom of every page on the site. The important note here is that we are going to soon be using Demographic information from Google Analytics. For those not up on the technobabble, that means age, g...

APT, Author Promotion Team
Usually we’d have a Tech blog from Myr today, but as IP Board’s still working on their update, we’re on hold with some of the upcoming upgrades to the site. However, that doesn’t mean we don’t want to share some information about GA the average member might not know. Today I’d like to introduce MJ85, our new Author Promotion team Lead. We have an overall...

Gay Authors: Why do we have rules?

Important, site rules, moderation
I don't think most people here on Gay Authors truly realize the amount of time involved in running the site. Even when things are quiet, we have a constant flow of new stories requiring moderation and a regular flow of new members. There is a steady flow of support requests to help people out with various issues they are having. And, of course, with an ac...

Help Wanted! Help Needed! Just... Help!!

I don't know what I would do without an editor. I mean, there are times when...
