I was planning on reading one and saving Ch 18 for later, but I have no self control.

There were sooooo many good parts & lines in both chapters, I don't know what the focus on .

Did anyone else find it funny that Dennis gets really uncomfortable being with Travis and retreats into his closet to rummage around?

“You know how before I said I like you, and I’m trying to do you a favor?”

“Travis...” Owen started skeptically, only to be cut off.

“I’m doing you another one. Don’t take things so... personally. If people piss you off, let ‘em know it. Be as loud as you damn well please if it makes you feel better. But if you’re gonna get mad, don’t do it because you assume people do things you don’t like just to hurt you.”

... I have to wonder who's the top/bottom or do they share in the moment.

And I'd like to mention...very maturely of course... that we now know who f**ked whom!!!

“It’s too bad,” Travis suddenly said. “I knew you’d be the worst kind of closet case, but I actually believed that f**king you wouldn’t complicate...”

With Jake maybe. Some couples stay together.

While it seems like ITFB has been going for a lo(n)g time, I think that only 1 or 2 weeks has passed in story time. Plus Jake and Tony are twentysomething gay guys, they have all the vacation time in the world. Then again, shouldn't Tony be in school? .

Also, for story purposes, it helps to have Tony away. If he were around, he'd be too grounding of an influence on Owen. Owen needs Tony away in order to be a bit psycho.

Aren't they like touring Europe or something for like the whole summer (or longer)? I know Owen and Aiden were still together when they left.

His morning hadn’t started as peacefully as it had the last time he’d begun it beneath the Chesleys’ roof. But, that was probably because this time, he’d fallen asleep. It was a general rule for him to avoid doing that anywhere that wasn’t his own room, but lying there in the dark, comfortably warm as he listened to the slow pace of Dennis’s breathing and Valentine’s snoring below the bed had his eyes drifting, and then he’d slipped away. It had only been for a short time--an hour at most if he’d looked at the clock correctly. But it had still been long enough for him to forget where he was, and the sound of unfamiliar pipes whining behind the walls had startled him into reaching for his flashlight, which wasn’t there.

He’d calmed himself quickly, and ten minutes later after cracking the blinds to allow a little morning light into the room, he was sitting on the edge of the bed, his back comfortably against Dennis’s side and wearing pants that weren’t his low on his hips where they’d fallen after he failed to zip them up.

There's the flashlight again. Travis may or may not be afraid of the dark, but the flashlight is some sort of security blanket. It is a connection to Allan as is the little strip of photos. Now he seems to have another security blanket...Dennis.
