Right, I don't know if I'm a "damn good editor", but for my sins I am indeed editing The Balance of Judgement. Going through a 480 page novel takes time, especially when you're working full time, applying for Canadian visas, and moving house, all at the same time. Plus I'm a pedantic w*nker (having an English Lit degree and being a lawyer will do that to you). But I'm getting there, line by line, misplaced comma by misplaced comma (Sorry, Topher!). Approximately 1/4 the way through at the moment.

I shall attempt to remember to update progress here once a week or so. Right now I'm expecting this to take me another 2 weeks or so from today, give or take a few days either side. So that's where things are at - please don't bug Topher about when it'll be ready, cos it really aint in his control. Also, please don't bug ME too much about it. I'm going as fast as I can, and nagging will not make me either faster or more accurate.

As I said, will provide further updates when it seems relevant.

Sorry, I just finished The Lion's Pride. I'm still reeling.

Aand... just sent the first 300 pages off to Topher. 190 to go. I expect to be done in a week to 10 days. Then you can start bugging Topher .

Oh, and for those of you who can't wait, I'll be mean: Rikard, in pink slippers. And a dressing gown. For about 100 pages. Heh. Rikard is made of awesome.

Well, I've sent the whole 493 pages off to Topher so that's my part done. But going through that many edits will take Topher a while, I'm sure, so don't get too impatient with him. Soon, now, it will be published. And let me say, it's a doozy!
