Wow, a little bit of foretelling by Shadowgod

Duncan, I have had the pleasure of reading the 13 chapters over the past few days. It is an amazing story so far.

I like the way you have been kinda developing each character a bit more each chapter. Since we now know most about Scott, Bran, Josh and David, it still remains a mystery about Laura and Luc. Hopefully you won't keep us in suspense too long.

So far Bran is my hero of the story. His advice, even though it's not being followed, has been sound. And it seems he has found the strength himself to adhere to it regarding Laura. I'd hate to see him become a hypocrite over it.

I imagine now, Scott will be having an interesting chat with his Uncles, since they told him to keep it in his pants a couple of days ago, and now he has been in bed.... again!!!

The problem seems to good intentions of Scott, willing to accept Luc's apology, and being their to support Josh, but it seems like he may have two guys that are in love with him.

I look forward to seeing how he gets out of this jam.

This story has really grown way past my original intentions. I swear, I intended it to be a sweet little love story, 10 chapters. Now I REALLY have to finish writing it to find out what happens....

Great chapter though, it was interesting to re read and see how you built the whole chapter up to the ending. Even looked like you may have thrown in a distraction or two to keep us off base. .

Ohhh.... wow..... Duncan I can imagine that this was difficult to write but you did a great job. As they say an emotional rollercoaster for all.

The epiphany scene was just superb...making love without having sex... Scott recalling how he washed Josh in the shower the night before..that was so touching.

Writing Luc's goodbye message to Scott must have been extremely difficult. Very well done, Duncan.

I think I posted this chapter too early. I've just replaced it with a revised version...not hugely revised, but a small new scene where Scott listens to the Ipod for a bit... and some cleaning up that makes the plot points clearer, I hope (thanks Jack). I couldn't seem to move on to chapter 15 til I fixed this.

Oh, and if any of you are interested, this is the song... the one Luc had playing that night, the one that Scott can't listen to...

Excellent chapter Duncan, as always, you tell an amazing story where you feel what the characters are feeling.

Yeah . . . thanks Duncan for getting out Chapter 15. And, thanks for doing the right thing. Though, I am a bit disappointed with the way the chapter ends. I was hoping for a different response, but you're the author and you know where this story is going, so I'll shut up and live with it.

Okay, I'll admit, after the end of chapter 14, I found myself thinking... Why did he just do that? That is the conflict in his story, and now it's gone. Not a smart move...

I guess I should have had more faith, or maybe been more open minded? Either way, Duncan, I'm rather impressed, and I'm glad you showed me whatyou have in you. Fantastic

I admit, with other stuff happening I sorta kinda maybe fell a little behind in reading. I'm all caught up now thought so redemption right? Anyhow, the last four or five chapters have been exquisit in the way they convey the frailty that is Human emotion. I suspect Luc's back story will come fully into light next as we have traversed Josh's painful past and even Glimpsed at the ghosts haunting Laura.

How will that come? how will Luc react to his failed suicide. what happens when he realizes Scott isnt availible as he once was. Im waiting eagerly.

I only see one regret people are going to be hurt again who have no business being hurt anytime soon.

Yeah, a nice "calm" chapter in Scott's troubled life. Three tries? Luc definitely needs some help; hopefully Scott will be willing to step up and offer it. And, what about Josh? What was his relationship with Bran's brother? Trouble on the horizon between Scott and Josh?

I'm still rooting for Luc. I think he'd be better for Scott than Josh, but then I think Luc would be better for me, too. He's definitely such a hot character I might steal him for one of my stories.

The chapter's opening descriptive paragraphs were absolutely superb, Duncan!

It strikes me that Luc is far more complicated than Josh. According to Robert, his family accepts his sexuality. It appears that Luc can't accept himself. That's so very sad.

The ending scene was a very good hook for the coming chapter. So when will you post it?

Truly humbled, as Colin rightfully pointed out the story is aptly named. What I think is even something more, is not only is everyone wounded, but they have also had their hand in wounding others. Truly masterful tale about the ability of humanity to hurt those we love. Keep it up!

The last three sentences really stood out. After pondering them, I thought you could even include Ben's heart, Ry's heart, and Robert's heart. Even to go further I'm sure you could include Bran and Matt as well. You have woven a tale of many characters that seem to be hurting in their own way, which is truly an insight into most peoples hearts I believe.

But on the other hand, I would not consider this a 'sad' story, not at all. Although I sympathize with the pain of the characters, I also feel the hope that they all have as well. You have combined the two emotions together wonderfully.

I imagine it will become more interesting in the future as Matt enters the story, and the effects it will have on the current characters. I would hazard to guess that their may be more pain in the future.

I can hardly wait for the next chapter.

I'm glad Scott finally found the words, but it's more than that. He discovered that Josh could be strong for him when he needed it. Scott is usually the one providing the strength, being the rock in the relationship. It's very liberating to find and acknowledge your own vulnerability.

I just read Chapter 1. I happen to like it so far. I wish I had heard about this story sooner.

Thanks everyone. I am very honoured. I'm kind of a recovering writer of fiction...this story is the first fiction I've written in several years, and it's helping me find my voice again. It's kept me going to know that it's got a home...

So you know it's almost done, right?

A sequel??? AWESOME. *does back flip*------nearly breaks back because no longer a spring chicken and gymnastic days are over.

Oh god, this one is almost done- is it going to end on a sad note? Leaving us on a cliffhanger? This whole series has been kind of sad- very emotional, lots of ups and downs, but still a type of sadness lingering in the shadows, like more is in store for everyone.

CHapter 19- loved the whole thing. Glad they sort of made-up. Talked. Interesting to hear Josh's opinion on suicide and being able to let go, from within. It's very true and to those who have suicidal thoughts, it's a positive message- having to decide if you're willing to fight and live on, or letting your pain continue hurting you.

Alright, alright. Back to the sequel. Hope it's not as agonizing and emotional as the first one?? Come on, give us poor readers a break!!!

All I can say is thank you. For writing such an emotional, touching story. Like Tiff had already said, there are many ups and downs in this story, but all of it came with a price, and a reward. All three of the boys learned a lot, and as a reader I feel I learned a lot as well. So thank you for teaching me =P

I can't wait to see how you protray Luc's story, it's gonig to be a good one I can tell already.
