I've always considered myself to be articulate in expressing myself. After reading Chap 15, I was reduced to speaking the vernacular of my youth.....saying insightful things such as "WOW!" and "HOLY f**K!"

That chapter had everything in the way of human emotion. Believe me. Everything.

All i can say is: Oh My gosh...

Two great chapters! Chapter 15 is unlike anything I have ever read. Jeremy's determination saves his relationship with Michael. Jamie's love saves Michael.

first thing: WOW. 5 chapters in 9 days. is this some new record or what?

second thing: WOW. talk about chapters that have the ability to render you speechless or at least turn you into a mumbling goo. that would be chapter 15. it grips your balls (looks down) metaphorically speaking, and doesn't let go till the very end, making you squirm in the process of reading.
i had an hour or so to regain my ability to form sentences, btw ^_~

jamie. i feel like building him an altar at the moment. what he did was just so... ugh. can't even find an appropriate word to describe it. but i totally love him now, even more than i did before (and i loved him a lot back then too )

jeremy. *purrrs* he was a likable guy to begin with, but he lacked the spark, something that would make him special. well, now he has it ^__^ he showed his claws and claimed michael and grew in my eyes muchly

michael's old teacher is kinda cool and he got me wonder - what was it that michael's uncle did to get disowned? the teacher said that, just like michael, he didn't want to pursue sinclair's path blindly. why? as far as i can see while on it you can do what you want as long as you're evil enough, proper enpugh and marry and have children and teach them to be as evil as you are. and the uncle doesn't seem to be lacking in any of those fields. he seems to be evil alright to me. can't remember if a wife or kids were mentioned, but he seems to condemn michael's aunt for marrying the one she loves, so it can't be it. unless he's too evil for even the snclairs O_o
or maybe he simply has bad table manners?

anyway, back to our boys. they have yet to face the mothers. yikes. i'm scared of it on their behalf ^^'

i agree with kashka, im scared on their behalf, the mothers are not gonna be happy (understatement of the year) unless they were expecting this. what will happen to jamie? i still cant see jamie as mike's brother, im a bit strange i think can i hope for more incest? lol.

When I was toying with the idea of publishing this, I quickly realized that the word/page count was WAY too high for the finished product. I had to consider splitting Book 1 into two parts. The first part was going to be Chapters 1-15 (yes, with this one being the BIG cliffhanger). Then the second part would be chapters 16-28.

This chapter made a very natural 'breaking' point in the story for the split. The integration of Worthington/Michael is pretty much complete, and yes, there are going to be very far-reaching effects of that integration that have to be dealt with. The effects WILL go further than just their immediate family now (think about it for a moment. It hasn't been stated outright, but Jamie is another potential Adept, and if you remember, one of the few that are Light - which means the Light just lost him. If you don't think that's going to have some impact, think again.). In the next part of the story, we also get to see more of the magical world that has remained hidden for a long time.

I just hope y'all continue to enjoy the story overall...

Wow, Dan. Truly wonderful. I loved every bit of these last few chapters. Outright beautiful!! I somehow had an inkling that Jamie was an adept seeing as how well he bonded to Michael. Nevertheless, I can't wait to see where you take us from here. I'm still breathless from reading chapter 14 and 15.

Record? no, i don't think so... What floors me is that Dan sent me the first 2 chapters to edit on May 30 and chapter 28 on June 14. I was an addict for this story, receiving new chapters every 2 nights and I spent those nights (and early into the wee morning hours) ingesting those chapters.

Twenty-eight chapters in sixteen days? Now that, I think, is a record.

Wow! What can I say that hasn't already been said? Dan, you are truly amazing! I have to wonder - do you ever eat? Do you ever sleep? Do you have a day job? I could never hope to keep up with your pace. I'm just glad you're sharing your talents with all of us.

Sure - everyone appreciates Dan - but what about the guy who keeps him chained to the computer typing...

Great two chapters Dan. Although my wish didn't come true, you have definitely grabbed everyone's attention. I think there was three hero's in that chapter. Jamie, for helping Michael actually come out the winner over Worthington. Jeremy for getting Michael to realize that a relationship is more than one persons opinion, and Michael who I guess we can say is on the path to be a Dark Mage, but not a evil one.

Can't wait for more.
