Chapter 24 and Chapter 25 are available for your reading pleasure.

Dan has provided two more amazing chapters. Worthington and Jamie really are becoming a team; Jamie is not merely a gopher but takes independent action which supports Worthington's cause. They are victorious at the big meeting of mages. And they may have taken Colin in as a new member of the inner circle. Great story!

Roger the Hippie just got more interesting. I think its pretty clear he's one of the mages being controlled by this demon lord, however, if he gets a seat on that council its going to look bad for Worthington to try to confront him over this, and you can bet he'll claim Worthington only wants him off so he can have better control...

I can see Worthington bringing what evidence he has to Madame Calhoun and having her confront him before the mage council... Roger could argue worthington's controlling her but a claim like that wouldn't hold as much weight, since there would be some kind of magical signature left from worthington on her as evidence of that, and since worthington hasn't been controlling old lady Calhoun...

Something else of concern though, if Roger the Hippie is in the service of a demon lord, he will also be able to relate tons of information about what's going on. He must be dealt with swiftly.

My sentiments exactly! laugh.gif

Things are definitely getting quite interesting. I look forward to more. Speaking of more.... I find my self wishing Dan would give more details in certain parts of the story instead of just an "overview." Such as the wrestling match between Rob & Jeremy, Jeremy & Worthington, Jaime & the baseball player, etc., etc., etc.!!!! lmaosmiley.gif Of course, leaving it to our imagination can be exciting in it's own way. tongue.gif

Worthington's uncle still has to figure into all of this one way or another....I think. wacko.gif

Dan's got me turning into Pavlov's dog every Friday now. blink.gif Oh well, what's a little drool here and there. laugh.gif

Given the threat posed by the Demon Lord, the Light mages are coming across like a bunch of whiners. Roger should be put out of his misery...lunch for the demons sounds good.

I always thought adept meant you were ambidextrous....when it came to certain things. tongue.gif

Great chapters, Dan! worshippy.gif

There are two further bits of the plot in the last few chapters that I figure will play a prominent role in the confrontation with either the Uncle or the demons and they are a 3rd Adapt level mage and Worthington's dealings with the Dwarves. I'm thinking that the Dwarves will put a stop to the use of the portals.

I'm running out of superlatives to praise Dan's work for. So I'll just say the usual thing--->

Adept generally is used as a measure of talent as in highly skilled or well-trained, so if you are ambidextrous, you would be adept are using either hand.

Wow. Awesome chapters! And another person forsakes the Light. Btw, does a light mage turn from the part by just saying "I forsake!" or does the intent matter? Just a thought that crossed my mind...though i'm probably not making any sense lol.

Me thinks it's the intent that matters.

Methinks Colin intended to renounce the Light because he is actually Dark (on his father's side).

Why is it that it can only work one way? Light rules are so discriminatory!

They are supposed to be so strict. Basically, thats the difference between Light and Dark. Dark has a tendency to break rules and while they may use light magic to suit their needs, Light mages would never resort to that.

Light mages, I think, consider themselves 'pure' and therefore are so strict.

Just a hunch. smile.gif
