Chapter 26 has been released and it is a great one. We learn a lot about the Worthington/Jamie/Carl relationship.

I liked the way Jeremy took charge of Michael at school. Good on him! It seemed that Michael appreciated it as well.

So the Pheonix mages now have a council....that ought to bring the action to a grinding stop.

The table is well set for the meeting with the Devil Lord. I'm looking forward to that chapter.

I'm interested in the 'hurt' that Jamie and Worthington felt when they broke their link after Jamie showed Worthington the whole truth about Carl. It's almost like, because it hurt Jamie to take that hurt from Carl, that it was shared with Worthington when they linked, in turn the hurt Worthington caused to Carl, hurting himself. Talk about what goes around comes around...

Thanks for the chapter, even while you are on a holiday .

With the council now formed, it will be interesting to see if the light and dark can find a path to follow together. I think the demons are going to be what makes the alliance work. But after the demons are gone, then what? I wonder if the strange feelings that Worthington is having? I'm going to stick to my previous suspicions that Worthington is going to turn the Mage world upside down with Jamie, and create a new path, neither dark, nor light, and both sides will work together in the future.

I'm really interested in what Roger has to do with the demons. I guess he could be a summoner, or is he just a pawn to the demons, doing what they want.

Jamie once again comes out the hero....twice in this chapter. Once for taking Colin in and providing him sanctuary, and second for sharing how he actually helped Carl that day, and will continue to help him into the future. One line stood out there, that Carl was recreated of Jamie's seed. Too many opinions on that line to share here .

Really looking forward to the next couple of chapters Dan. Thanks again.

I had a feeling Jamie would do something like that, freeing the boy and giving him a chance at happiness, I really hope that works out... Carl deserves better than he has had to suffer through.

Who wants to take bets on this new thing on the horizon?

My wild prediction: Book 2 will consist of hell merging into earth, the demon lord is relatively minor among demon-land and is just getting a head start, trying to establish his own dominion and get a head start on other demon lords. This new council will fast become the only government in the pheonix area period, and all mundane government will fracture and fall apart. Similar councils will form in other cities, with the Pheonix council's domain taking a leading role in uniting mages everywhere to fight against the demon threat. The other leading mage council will be composed primarily of the dark mages who made use of the boarding school Worthington was inintially trained at.

I didn't start this thread a few minutes after the chapter was posted. I read the chapter first. I guess I just happened upon it before anyone else.
