Dark Earth: The Prophecy (revamped) is back.

QUOTE
In 3007, Earth is a much different place. Some humans have reached a new stage of evolution. Two of these evoloids have taken over the planet. The White Knights have recently recruited a powerful evoloid hoping that he can help defeat The Dark Knights.

Come see what evolution may hold for us.

I can't wait to see how these new powers affect Julian... Ooohh!!
TalonRider
And to think we've only gotten a small taste of what Julian and Cristobal will be able to do together. I'm waiting to see what happens next.

Julian is always collecting new powers. Some powers are easier to control than others. I'm working on Chapter 11. Chapter 10 happens to be in beta. wink.gif
TalonRider
And chapter 10 will be a fun chapter to read.

Hi Tim. Like I told you yesterday I'm not really into Sci-Fi/Fantasy except for superficial stuff like Star Trek. But I promised you I'd at least read chapter one of Dark Earth: The Prophecy. I did that and was almost instantly hooked. This is definitely the right genre for you. It's clear that you love it because the enthusiasm is evident in the way you write it. As I've told only a very few other authors, it's almost like watching a movie in my mind. I know you'll be a hosted author very soon!

Tim is one step closer to Hosted. CONGRATULATIONS ON BECOMING ONE OF THE NEW PROMISING AUTHORS.

Be sure to get caught up on all the chapters. Chapter 10 promises to be some fun.

Even if I get no work done at all today I plan to keep reading until I'm all caught up on this story. smile.gif

Yes, I love writing sci-fi, though the romance is great too. My sci-fi does not ignore romantic scenes. tongue.gif

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I would love to be hosted one of these days. It would definitely be an honor, but I need more of an audience before that can happen. I also need to complete this particular part of the Dark Earth Series. My goal is to finish it within the first half of the year. After that, Second Chances will become my focus.

I felt Cristobel’s hand and grabbed it instinctively. At that moment, I knew I was exactly where I needed and wanted to be.

Yes, I've noticed that. wub.gif

Also, I don't know if it's just me, but I sense multiple levels of meaning in some of what you write. I'm not sure if I'm expressing myself properly. Do you understand what I think I'm trying to say? I think it's sort of like what CJ does. There's often more to what he's trying to communicate than what's explicitly written.

I'm about to start the third chapter and still lovin' it!

If you mean the kiss, the floating bed, almost zapping the building into oblivion, and finding out who Julian's and Cristobel's parents are, then yes, I'd say there are some surprises in store. tongue.gif

Well, the surprises do not stop there. I am going to try to finish chapter 11 by the weekend. Hopefully, Chapter 10's beta reading will be finished soon. I have more surprises in store. biggrin.gif

GaryK
Yeah, I agree about him not being too big a tease Sacha. I really like him a lot.

I skipped my usual afternoon nap to keep reading chapters. I'm about to start Chapter 7, but I'm going to lay in bed and listen to some Rush for a little while to give my eyes a break. Then I plan to read the rest of what's been posted so far.

I guess you could say I'm really lovin' it.

I'm so glad you're enjoying it. I going to try to post it more regularly. The only problem is the chapter lengths. I try to keep them fairly uniform. They are always 6,000+.

You're doing fine Tim. The chapters aren't too long. In fact I think they're just right. Just long enough for me to read a chapter, take a short break to make another double espresso, and read the next chapter. As you've mentioned before eventually you'll have enough chapters in reserve that you can afford to release them more frequently. Either way I'll wait as long as I need to for the next chapter.

Not to ignore whatever help those folks may have been, but your work in the Dark Earth trilogy is good enough to stand on its own and make you deserving of being a promising author.

Is there a formal process that the readers can participate in to recommend an author as promising or deserving of being hosted?

You can contact any of the Writer Support Team members by pm and we take it from there.

My help to Tim is the form of editing.

I like that idea. Perhaps, they will add them some time in the future. You could address the issue in the administrative communication sub-forum.

I'd volunteer, but I'm about to get very busy helping Myr figure out and implement better ways to monetize the website. If there's time though I'll do my best to try and help. However my newbie status might make it difficult cause I hardly know what's going on myself, LOL.

it is best to volunteer nonetheless. At least then they'll know who to contact when they need someone. I also volunteered for Moderation as I am always on the Boards...

Now back to the topic...
