matt, i'm sorry you felt you weren't getting enough feedback on the story. so much so that you unposted it. i'm glad that it's on nifty and not just completely trashed. but i really hope you plan to continue writing it. i think it's a great story with lots of potential. there are so many unknowns at the moment that i'm hooked. what is troys motivation for being such an ass? has liam completely misread the situation? there was so much emotional interplay. i guess this story speaks to me. my first time was so not what i had planned, while i didn't get burned like liam, i regret my choice of partner even though we remain friends.

you are appreciated, as well as is your work.

I'm kind of new to this forum, but I've been an avid reader of your stories, and I find them fascinating and lovely.

I apologize for not giving any feed back for Taste Of Others. I really did like the story and was very keen to read more chapters.

I really do hope you continue writing more chapters...

I'm loving this story.

Liam's dream in chap 2 was just sizzling hot!

I just got to know why Troy has been acting the way he has.

Scared to fall in love?
Scared that Liam would fall in love with him?
Couldn't afford all the condoms he would have used if he "hung" around?
Had a sudden attack of impotence?
Wants the story told from his point of view instead of Liam's?

Liam has to take some responsibility in all this. He says nothing for a year? Give me a break! He's been putting himself through hell over Troy, beating up on himself the way he does. Why is he (are we) so afraid to be vulnerable? The unlived life sucks. Staying safe often means staying alone.

I want to more!

I can't wait for the next chapters..since as you said"the unlived life sucks.Staying safe often means staying alone" and it appears both Liam and Troy are alone and afraid to express their emotions and to (um excuse the expression) 'expose' themselve..their heart, souls and minds to each other and to be vulernable and open to what may come (ok excuse that expression too)

Matt always writes a steamy love story..and one that strikes at the heart, mind, body and soul and hits many universal themes and characters that I so identify with...like when Liam says in chapter two that he sees himself as average...the random hook up for Troy..and I bet Troy sees Liam as amazing and someone he can fall madly in love with as witnessed by their passionate kiss in chapter 1..but fear keeps them apart...ah...as you said why does communication fail us when we want the object of our heart's desires...the angst, the pain, the wishing, the desire and the Shakespearan drama of screw ups etc....all evident in Matt's work...

now I hope Matt aces all his finals and returns to life refreshed and ready to write the Sexy Wonderful Magic that he spins in his wonderful characters:)

I really like this story, and I enjoyed chapter 3. Here's why. So often you end up with teen characters who think and act like they're 40, probably because most of the stories are written by guys who are older. They have inordinate self control; they seem totally capable of cuddling and hugging with no overwhelming desire for sexual release. Not only that, their internal logic and thought processes are those of an older person. Now I'm in that 40something category, but I remember what it was like to be 16/17, and it would have damn near been impossible to say no to someone I found attractive, especially if that person actually touched me in some sort of sexual way. Maybe it's just me? Anyway, these guys actually reflect my recollection of teen drives. Here are two guys who have serious issues, but their hormones kick in and they put those aside to get off. Is that a good thing? Not necessarily. But IMHO it's a real thing.

Second, Matt, if you were here I'd kick your ass. You have talent, you write well, but you're not always going to get as much feedback, especially positive feedback, as you want. Don't do this pussy shit of posting your stories and then pulling them off the sites. All you do is slap those of us who appreciate your talent in the face. The others don't care. So no more of that, OK? Post your stories and leave them there. Don't make me come over there.
