This is a cute little story about finding that special someone.
Akhil has heard about how wonderful love is from his grandmother and can’t wait to find that same love himself. He thinks he has found it with a boy from school. After seeing a movie with Cory they find that they have a connection. It turns out to be a disappointment when he finds out that their connection was only physical and that Cory is in love with a girl.
Two of his friends, Sonam and especially Rohan are there to help Akhil in the aftermath as he feels he will never find true love. They all get away to the lake and the guy that he meets there is simply music to his ears….
A nice tale with a happily ever after, hopefully? Thanks York366 for a great read!!

What I liked about it is the way that Akhil found what he was seeking when he wasn't looking. I personally think this is a lot more realistic than the 'let's go looking for love' approach.
I'm in two minds regarding Cory. Was he cynically using Akhil or did he honestly have feelings for Akhil, but they weren't as strong as those for his girl friend? I'm inclined to believe it's the later. That doesn't make what he did any better, but it would imply he's not a totally bad person.

I really enjoyed this story, not only because I could connect to it as it is an Indian based story, but also because it was really realistic, as Graeme put it.
Akhil's predicament has been beautifully portrayed and I especially liked the roles Rohan and Sonam played.
Thanks for sharing this with us, York..
