I'm sorry my first post on your forum is a tech support issue.

I cannot for the life of me get the captcha at http://www.gayauthors.org/efiction/user.php?action=register to match. Every time I try, I get:

The security code you entered did not match. Please try again.

The same goes for the captcha on the contact page http://www.gayauthors.org/efiction/contact.php
Perhaps the "Converge" registration works, but I don't know what I'd be signing up for with that. If it's some kind of cache problem it's a unique one. I had no trouble with the captcha for forum registration.

On another topic, do I correctly understand this:
http://www.gayauthors.org/forums/porn-EFiction-t18671.html
to be a prohibition on stories with no "redeeming artistic value", and that a sexually explicit scene in an otherwise well-constructed story would simply require an MA rating and still be acceptable? (The foregoing sentence is not a typical sample of my writing! blush1.gif )

Thanks!

Hey there, welcome to GA!!

I can't say anything for the technical issue but for the no porn on e-fiction I can answer your question

if you decid to writer a short story where it's sex justfor the value of sex with no backfround whatsoever thenit will be considered xxx and therefore not allowed (example, 2 people meet in a park and decide to do things and it's said in a graphic way and the ending is the climax of the sexual encounter...) so a sexual story with no plot, no background, no caracter build=up will not be accepted.

However if you write something with a plot, a background, character development and you put sexual encounter who's written in a graphc way then the MA will be applicable. (example Jim goes to school and meet that new kid in school, stare at his beauty can't find words to describe him.., the new kid go and talks with him, they hook up during the afternoon, have graphic sex, new kid goes back home, gets attacked by gay basher, total stranger (who's the brother of Jim for example) saves the day out of nowhere and then he's taken to the clinic... ) now you got something that can be classified as MA and not XXX have a plot,a reason for the encounter, and I really doubt there will be any problem.

Hope you like the place and hope toread some of your stories in a near future

Jason aka Moonwolf

P.S to the admins. If I'm wrong please tell me so... cause that's the way I see the description of the story between MA and xxx

Jason is correct with the XXX and MA information.

I have removed the capthca verification for the time being. It causes issues, but members requested we put it back on to prevent spam on the boards.

Thank you, this clears up the distinctions between XXX and MA very nicely.

Thank you very much!

I hope there's a way to solve this. I'd hate for a spam flood to follow.
