I got into the story just fine personally. Could it be your set up or could it be that the author was fixing something on it.

You need to be logged into eFiction with your account.

Drewbie, When you log in (via the log-in for eFiction not the Converge log-in) be sure to click the radio button for "remember me". This works alot better with Firefox then it does with IE. With IE I have found it takes several attempts before you are really logged in

I tried that as well, and the bypass adult contect button is on, and tired to turn it off then again, but thanks though.

I just tried the same thing and had the same problem. I tried several times. It did not work. I even tried the converged log-in without success.

Weird, because I can get through with no problems, and I'm not even logged into eFiction.

The problem I am noticing now is that if I sign into e-fiction, it signs me out on here and vice versa. Also, on e-fiction it's asking for penname instead of email address. I guess it was switched of a reason, but it makes it impossible to do a converged log-in.

I had the same problems logging into eFiction and navigating to the Forums. Joe has a message under Site News in the eFiction to use the following page to log in...
http://www.gayauthors.org/converge/ or simply login through the forums first then browse over to eFiction.
Drewbie, can you try logging in using the above link or through the forums before you access that story?
Thanks,
Steph

It doesn't have do with that, it's allowing me to log on, the issue is being able to access the story which, it's enabled to to bypass. just bounces back.

I'm just pointing out that logging in through eFiction do not work correctly, and Myr said you needed to be logged in. Does it hurt to try it?

Hey guys, I found something interesting... I cannot get past chapter 1. Trying to get to any other chapter brings me to the warning page again, which then brings me back to the first chapter. I can't even get to the TOC. Oh and another thing...
I don't need to be logged in to get past the warning.

Drewbie, and anyone else interested.
Look up at the address bar you should be seeing
http://www.gayauthors.org/efiction/viewstory.php?sid=481 if you aren't being allowed to see the story. for some reason efict is messing up this particular posting. Joe will have to look into it.
I was checking it out, and I too cannot get past chapter one before it again defaults back to the "this story...." page.
Try these links.
Chapter 1 Chapter 2Chapter 3 Chapter 4Chapter 5 Chapter 6Chapter 7Let me know if you still cannot access the story with these links.

I am experiencing the same problem with Tiger's story, Second Chances.... can't get past chapter 1.

Thanks

P.S
I am logged in (properly with the remember me checked) and also have the 'skip warnings' option checked in my account info...

One thing to try is to log out and then log in again.
There might be an issue with authentication because we switched from email and password to Pen Name and password.
Drewbie

Logging in and out still doesn't work for me, I tired it on different browsers and computers.
think second thing with authentication is correct, shadowgods links work if I'm not logged in.

The same thing goes for my story on eFiction. I can only get to the first chapter. I am logged in via converge, so that isn't why, I'm sure.

This does seem to be a global problem for any story that you get the warning for violence and sexual content.
Myr

I bypassed the warning for now. I'll check into the wonders of their bug reporting.

Okay, I now receive a fatal SQL error when I click on the E-Fiction link on the banner at the top or log in via Converge.

I got the same thing. I had to go through a story link just to get to the site. Is there a problem with the coding? Just curious.

Well. That was a nightmare. Sorry for however long it was down. I don't know why it suddenly decided to start checking for Challenges. I have removed the module.
It should be working again. for Now.

Thank you, Myr, for fixing this.

You are our fiction saver. I would say life saver, but I doubt you want to be called a candy.
