Another great chapter, Dan. Worthington and Kyle are developing a close, loving relationship. But there is still some evil magic in the Magic Kingdom to be dealt with.

Next Friday is a holiday. Will chapter 26 arrive on the usual schedule? Maybe a day early? Sounds good to me.

I certainly liked this particular chapter. I love seeing Kyle and Worthington getting closer. Just like Mike said, there is some kind of evil there. This could be a real test of their new relationship. It should be interesting to see what happens next.

Yes, we did see the relationship between Worthington and Kyle grow, and they understand each others better.

I do however feel that this chapter was probably one of my favourites just due to the whole Disneyland story. I would have to believe that Disneyland holds a special place to DK from the detail that he put into describing the settings, the feelings, the emotions that the place generates.

Having never been there until a couple of years ago, I related to the whole story, probably from Kyle's POV, where as a kid he always wanted to go. Worthington's immediate love of the place is interesting as well.

I guess the theme "Where Magic Happens" fits in greatly with the story tongue.gif . I think by using Disneyland as the backdrop for where Worthington and Kyle finally realize their full love for each others made a bigger impression than if it was back in Claireville.

I'm curious though about the missing families. Other than Mark using it to convince the pair to go to Small World (BTW, love the ride, hate the music too!!! laugh.gif ), they really didn't solve the mystery of where the missing families were. Did anyone catch any clues on where this might be going?

Great chapter Dan, and thanks for reminding me of what a great place DL is.

good observation, steve! although, I don't like the thought of kyle clamming up again when they go back home.

oh, and I love the music to it's a small world!!!! in high school, I had a watch that beeped out the tune and the second hand jumped around in time to the music. all of the numbers were replaced with a country flag. I loved that watch. happy.gif

Awesome chapter... I just got that mushy feeling you get when you read such a lovely story...I never once felt as though that this was the same story that had Worthington battling demons.... made me go Awwww....throughout the chapter.

Now, what do we have here? Maybe, the families got captured by those other demons lurking around? Or the demon summoners...

Beats me, though. What I do know is that I am eagerly waiting for the next instalment...

Makes sense. Demons were capturing and forcibly converting mages in Phoenix. Why not in Anaheim?

Disneyland is a marvelous parallel to the mage world. It was so easy to understand how a mage (Worthington) could think that someone with magic was involved here in the creation of it all. biggrin.gif

I can see where one might think there was some "mush" going on in this chapter. That's not the word I would use. Then again, I'm 57. Do I really remember what mush looks like? laugh.gif I guess I just saw it as much more mature and honest behaviour on their part...meaning it didn't have that "I can't bear to be without you" element to it. Lyle was saying, "This is what I want to give you right now, and it's the best I can do." Worthington acknowledges that and accepts it for what it is.

It's rather unique in many ways when you think about it.

Mushy or nor, I loved this chapter. Thanks, Dan. worshippy.gif
