Lost Love
by hashbrown

You said the words I love you,
But it was just a dream.
I said the words I love you,
Making you my life's theme.

You held me close that one cold night,
But it was just a dream.
My heart and smile shown so bright,
Dangerous, nothing seemed.

I love you so much,
But this you'll never know.
A life together will never work,
My heart will break when you say hello.

I can't imagine a life without you,
I don't even know if its possible.
But I'll have to find out,
Though living without you seems like a mission impossible.

One more time I ask why it wont work,
It's the world influencing you, acting like a jerk.

So the last thing I say before I lose all hope,
I love you more than anything, so with your lost love I'll have to cope.

That poem makes me sad. You're a good poet. Hopefully, you'll find someone better and be able to write a happy one soon. hug.gif

This is so good, it's deep without drowning you.

It captures that feeling of knowing it won't work but not being ashamed to still love him despite of it all.  I love it smile.gif
