- Signatures must be under 200 pixels high (see image below).
- Signature file size must be under 100 Kb. Smaller is best (< 30 Kb recommended).
- No links that give you something from user clicks (like game points, or website credits).
- No offensive images or content (swearing, flaming, adult material, annoying flashing graphics*, etc).
- No images showing the other user's IP Address, ISP, OS info, etc.
- No links that log a user out of this forum.
- No more than one image (no matter the size) per signature.
- No text above a font size of 5 will be allowed. 6 and 7 are too large.
- Members of political organizations must state their affiliation in their signature.
- All text (including all codes, links**, spaces, and image names) must not exceed 800 characters.
*Annoying flashing graphics are defined as images that rapidly changes text or color to distract other members. Gif images that change are accepted if each image is constant for at least 3 seconds.
** The website http://tinyurl.com/ may be used to shorten links to provide more space for regular text.
All images, text, and blank lines COMBINED should be under 200 pixels tall.
Text lines longer than 600 pixels are OK if they automatically wrap. But text in a <code box> must NOT exceed 600 pixels.

In order to make sure that everyone has a pleasant experience while browsing the Gay Authors Forums, we feel that a signature size limit and format policy is needed and must be enforced strictly.
The above rules have been written, revised and voted on by the Forum Moderation Team in order to provide members with suitable signature options that will allot them enough space to share a moderately sized and creative signature, while also providing an incentive for users that help to cut down on heavy bandwidth usage and page loading times. The faster pages load, the more enjoyable browsing the forums are for everyone.
Signatures that violate these rules will be removed by moderators.
