Nice tourism chapter (photowhoring! lol). We learn quite a few things about Canadians, the fact that they live underground in Montréal, and that hence it is customary there to go under the table to greet your guests in the morning.
Adrien is a cool big brother; I love the way he tries to play hard-assed at the end.
Very vivid and interesting description of the city, which I don’t know that well, even from movies or books; it kept me interested throughout. Steph really plays the part of the country guy coming to a big (foreign) city well. This makes this fresh.
Now we wait for some action (in the city) in the next chapter.

Hehe
Great chapter, Jack.
Ben's a sweetheart.
Mischievious, but nonetheless a sweetheart.
Ahemmm.... loonies are called such because the one-dollar coin has a loon on one side. A loon is not a species of duck. Google it. Loons often mate for life. They have been known to switch mates if the 'nesting' period doesn't work out well.

Well, it looks like a duck to Steph....
Glad to say I have couple loonies on my desk waiting to be spent.
Great chapter
I loved the "tourist's eye" view of Montreal, and am looking forward to more of it. Hermmm, I do wander, though, if Ben's ex will make an appearance?
One thing caught my eye;
I've noticed this problem (steps for part of the way into a subway) in both Hong Kong and Rome. In Hong Kong is is very pronounced; the subway is deep, but at every station I went to you had the last thirty feet (nearest the surface) or so as steps, but escalators the rest of the way. No elevators, either. I have no idea why though would be designed this way. Anyone have any ideas?

I "wander" too, CJ, that Ben will end up running into his ex. Only fate will tell.
Those final stairs in Berri-UQAM are just a pain-in-the-ass when you have a couple heavy-as-a-bitchass suitcases to bring up to the bus station there.
