Twenty six years ago, on the outskirts of what had been rural Nashville, there had been a school, a school known for its dark secrets. Though the school burned down, those who managed to survive the fire are still haunted by the horrific events that took place there.

For years there has been something hunting the survivors, a demon born of the same fires that destroyed the school. Now, one year after the death of his dearest friend, Dr. Avery Thomas, a man who has committed his life to helping burn victims is the only one who remains of the original thirteen survivors.

Now, one year after Jess’s death, his sister has arrived at his door, bringing her son, Travis, with her. A few months ago Travis was nearly burned alive in an unexplained fire. She fears, as does Avery, that whatever has been hunting him was now after Jess’s nephew.

Avery had believed the nightmare would have ended when the fires came for him, but when the lives of his other friends not threatened, he fears only he can save them by confronting the demon from his past.
