Sorry! I have these geared for my blog page, so I try to keep them under 3k if possible. But... you get them every other day to make up for that. Honestly, that puts me at cranking out 6-9k a week on this story, plus working on other projects and online work. I don't think I could do anymore! I'm glad you like the story though.

Ok I get that Seral is a blueblood and the son of one of the most important people on the planet. But the little bit I know about biology makes me wonder how his blood turns out to be really blue. Earthly creatures with blue blood (e.g. copper instead of iron ) are all sea creatures and usually crustaceans. Fortunately for the protagonist, Seral apparently has all the right "parts" for conjugal contentment......

LOL. Well that was just a bit of fun of mine. Perhaps the planet's evolutionary chain was different than ours. I didn't go too technical on that sort of thing with this story; it was just supposed to be a prompt story. I'm afraid it's not exactly sound science fiction wise, but it is a lovely fantasy! I'm glad you like the story enough to keep reading and commenting, Daddydavek, so thank you!!

(Oh - just a minor mistake in the first few lines - I'll put it in a spoiler and put the verb you forgot in bold )

 

Polsh set Witani down. The doctor immediately went over to her. The air began to shimmer over her body on the medical bed as the mediscan sent out a small bio wave over her body. The trip had been rough on Witani. She'd woken briefly in the vehicle on the way back, but then she lost the battle to stay conscious just before we had entered the city.
