There are currently four stories in the Best Circle of Hell series. As you might guess, these stories all feature demons, and they all feature sex. Some of the sex is very explicit. OK, all of the sex is pretty explicit, but some is also very violent. You will and have been warned. 

 

The stories are not told in chronological order, but that's mostly because i accidentally wrote the wrong one first.

 

1. Stolen Pleasures - in which we meet the current cast and crew of the demon's world, and specifically Jahke, an unsuspecting human, and the peculiar persuasive talents of Sitka,  a demon with onyx eyes and horns.

 

2. Torturous Love - which starts of with Toby nearly dying at the hands of a demon called Zai. This story come before SP but should be read afterwards. Zai and Toby both have rather interesting brands of empathy, and their brand of sex is a bit weird too.

 

3. Palace Life - chronicling the every day existence of the major demon Kiorl, lover to Sathriel, King of Hell, and also emissary and confidant of Nassau, Prince of Hell and granter of wishes. This one has some rather disturbing elements.

 

4. In Flames - partially set in the small town of Lewes, where we build fires bigger than houses. Features Atoki and Vruuaska as the central couple. Parts of this story make little sense if you have not read stories 2 and 3. This was edited and beta'd by Kitt and AnimalMorph, and is thus has the least mistakes.

 

 

 

so, ask me questions, possibly receive non confusing answers. There are more stories to come, yes, i will explain everything as best i can.

I know you have I think its Kiasa coming up next and you keep promising someone for Korl. But my question is are you going to find someone for Nassau? He is almost as lonely as Korl he just doesnt know it yet. Sartheil can go visit Antarctica and get lost he is one dude that deserves to be alone lol

As you said, Kiaza is up next. Now his story does mess around A LOT with the general world view of both Kiorl and Nassau. And the King for that matter.

 

I have still not decided if Nassau gets someone, but i am tempted to tell his back story in a little more detail. Him and Mattias were so cute together. the risk for Nassau is that last time he feel in love with a human, the force of the wish to make that human immortal killed him. he is not likely to risk his heart again. 

 

As for Sathriel - he is the Devil, being an evil shit is part of his mandate.

Hey Sam,

The other circles of hell are a lot less nice, and as the boys say, they have no decent plumbing. waifs, strays, torn souls and lots of others things 'live' out in the outlying circles and are watched over by low level demons either too stupid, too weak or damned to live in the centre circle of hell. demons who are outcast are sent out into the cold of the outer circles to work. smart, funny and useful demons live in the best circle.

 

Generally, demons don't move up the circles. all demons start in the middle and get demoted for being useless. Shindae is the most senior of the minor demons in their house because he is oldest and thus strongest. a demon's physical size had very little to do with their powers.

Thanks. Do they have any shops and stuff where they get their food or clothes. Things that they do outside their houses?

shops... well, demons can summon stuff out of thin air, and generally they hunt down their food. there is a certain level of trade centering around the palace.

there are other places apart from the house: but mostly all the action centers around the house, the palace and 'upstairs' - it's where all the cool stuff happens.

5. Amateur Night - This is very much a thematic offshoot. Nassau, Kiorl and other assorted demons congregated in a pub on Halloween and get to telling stories about the 'good old days'. A new character in this is The Demon Del Deorion, who is not actually a demon in the strict sense of the term, but is actually son of a fire god. He exists as part of a (currently private) universe centered around the supernatural peoples of London.

 

6. Wicked Boy - Which features Kiaza, the snakey shapeshifter who loves to bring people to ultimate pleasure and keep them there, and Jeremiah, who might indeed be the world's pushiest human.

Would other supernatural creatures be considered demons or descendant from demons or angels or are they something all of their own? And is it possible for demons to reproduce with humans or other creatures?

Shax was referring to the characters of "Wolf in the Rectory". The universe of the Best Circle of Hell is linked with the universe which you guys won't know about yet called London Underground. 

 

Enlightened Human - is a normal human being who knows about supernaturals. Atoki and Jem fall into this category.

 

Humans can breed with demons, it's rare, because most demons kill their prey most of the time. humans who get brought to hell can't get pregnant - because in hell a mortal's physical state cannot change, because time is VERY different down there.

 

Werewolves and stuff - there are plenty of other supernaturals, gods and strange being's who have nothing whatsoever to do with hell.

Regardless or whether or not you get changed, you always remain technically human - which means if you get to hell you are 'technically' dead. which means you can't go back up. at best, the portal just doesn't work for you - at worst, you end up stuck in The Way - and if that happens, there are only really a few people who have a chance of findign and saving you - and Nassau is not one of them.

You haven't read Torturous Love yet, have you? They are demons remember, not everything is cute and fluffy, and actually, they kinda like that. 

For all that Inai is a cool guy, he eats his prey during sex... demons are evil. plus, i love Zai, he was the first of the demons to show up and i've lived with him for 11 years now, so i realise that my concept of him might be a little twisted.

Hey, I have read the stories in order! And T & Z are just plain scary to this vanilla reader.   I guess we all have our own internal definitions of what horror is, and they absolutely meet my personal criteria. It's a good scary, makes it clear we're very much IN HELL.

Oh, I was kinda hoping that it was possible for the reincarnation thing to happen too for Mattias and Nassau's sake. I'd really like to know what happened to Nass and Mattias. Their story has been around throughout the whole series, so I would like to see it. The thing is that I hate knowing how a story ends, esp when it is a sad ending like with theirs. What I was thinking was whether you could begin telling Nassau's story with M as he is walking in the garden the day Kiorl brings Jem and Kia into the palace. Have him thinking about their life together, as brief as it was.

 

Now, my hope for a HEA for Nass, despite your answer about Mattias being sprinkled around into other souls now is whether or not someone on the flip side of hell, upstairs from the upstairs, might want to help Nass out. Afterall, he may be the prince of hell, but he is pretty damn decent if you ask me. While I am sure the son of Sathriel has to have some bad spots in his past and while I am sure he is not a choirboy, he still has helped others. he has stood up for love and given his feathers to allow them to stay with their mates and I think he deserves some credit for that. Maybe someone would like to re-pay the goodness inside of him that they have seen. Maybe there is a type of being that can be created in Heaven or by agents of heaven, which we don't know about.

 

I like this idea b/c it would give us this story we've wanted to hear, but it would also leave a chance for Nass to have a happy ending. Loving Wicked....keep posting!!

My apologies. one of my other editors, Vin, says he reads these stories with his inner-paladin going "purge it with fire" all the time. i just find Zai and Tobias sweet, but then, i am a twisted SOB. after all, i gave these guys living space in my head.

Now if i answered any of that, it would be telling. Also, i don't know yet. i have no idea if Nasau is or will ever be ready to love anyone else ever again, but i'm sure he'll let me know if anything happens. he's good like that.

 

As for telling Nassau and Mattias's story, that gets complicated, because there's a whole other universe involved. Plus, i would need permission from Mattias's original writer, because we wrote that story together in sixth form. maybe, but who knows.

I think I'm perfectly happy with not knowing more about the story of Nassau and Mattias than what we're told in little snippets in these stories. It's bound to be heartwrenching and leave me depressed.   And I won't be able to NOT to read it. Since I read everything you write

For a while I hoped that Nassau would finally fall in love with Kiorl, who definitely have a soft spot and a place in his heart for the sad Prince of Hell, but by now I've given up on that idea. However, I'm pinning my hopes on Kiorl and Nassau finding a human (or another creature how about a fallen angel    ) that they both fall in love with.
