Very cool beginning...  Phillip seems to value kids more than anything, and it ended up biting him badly.  I love the interaction he's able to have with his niece and nephew (not to mention his "older" brother), but damn, the dude is hurting.

Great beginning and looking forward to seeing where you take this.

Glad that you enjoyed the start of the story Trebs!  Kids are a very important part of his life and I wanted to make that very clear right from the start and it seems like I accomplished that.  As far as his "older" brother, the "older" part always gives me a chuckle when it comes up.  Yes, he's hurting, which is completely understandable given the circumstances.  I hate putting him through it, but, it's necessary for the story.

I hope you enjoy the rest and I look forward to hearing your thoughts as the story proceeds!

I, too, liked the way Phillip interacts with kids -- including Trevor, at the gym. The langorous start not only emphasizes Phillip's pain but also gives me, at least, a sense of his character: slow and steady and a bit risk-aversive.

I'm curious to see where the interaction with Vance is going. Not sure why, but I got the sense that ultimately Trevor might become more of an interest: something about Phillip "not understanding brightly colored hair" makes me want to see him learn to understand that and more about Trevor. Anyway, looking forward to more, Renee.

Thanks for your comments John!  I'm glad that you enjoyed the start of the story.  I'm glad that you're able to get a bit of a feel for Phillip with the start of the story.

Regarding Vance and Trevor, well.... I can't say too much there without giving away some of what's going to be coming up in future chapters.  I can only hope that you enjoy the upcoming chapters.  I look forward to hearing your thoughts on future aspects of this story!

So I'm downright upset at what Renee has done to end this chapter :o Chapter 7 to be exact!

To make things worse, when talking to her, she immediately showed me pictures of her new kitten and totally distracted me from what I wanted to discuss with her!!

Be warned, if you post do not be distracted by cute kitten pictures that she may post to distract you from the chapter ending!

Thank you Slytherin!  This story was a hard story to write and I was quite nervous as to how it would be received.  Luckily it seems like most of my worries were unfounded and while I'll be sad to see the story end, it's time for something new.  Besides, I'll be able to focus on some of my other stories that have been waiting patiently to be updated :)

Congrats on the completion a lovely piece of fiction, Renee. I know how bittersweet it is to be at the end, but you should be very proud of this. It's a wonderful story.

Thank you Mann, especially for your kind words.   I think out of all of my stories, this one was probably the hardest to see end, simply because of how intense it got at times.  Without those moments though, the story wouldn't have been what it was.  I am so glad that you enjoyed it.

Thank you Suvitar.   I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed my work.    I really enjoyed writing about these characters (most of the time) and I felt that the ending just pulled everything together perfectly.  I'm glad you enjoyed it as well.

Thank you Slytherin!!  Sorry about the delay in responding!  I'm glad that you enjoyed No More Hiding and while it's always sad when a story ends, look on the bright side, that just means that I'll be working on other stories :)
