ricky
Hi Everyone. I've been out of it for a while and this was me working to get the creative flow going again. I hope you enjoy the read. https://www.gayauthors.org/story/ricky/anewtrek Link to comment

Timothy M.
Hi ricky your reply to my review confused me. Trek had a concussion and a swelling in his brain - obviously this was not fake, since the x-ray confirmed it. And the whole 'change of character' is built on this concept. After less than 24 hours he said he had no head ache, he watched TV and ran around as if nothing had happened. This was not credible, especially since Ben's dad treated it with the seriousness it deserved. There is no way Trek would have gotten over the described head trauma in such short time. Trust me, getting over a bad concussion takes at least 8-10 days for adults and a minimum of 3-4 day for kids, provided they stay in bed and rest (no reading, no TV, computer, no loud music, no physical activity etc etc). But apart from this minor matter, the story is great. I loved the gay judge, and Phoenix is a wonderful mom. The joking with the nurse was hilarious. Link to comment

I had one and was sun blind for nearly 90 days. But that's real life. This is fiction and a short story so I'm going to prefer to think it was a mild concussion, he got sick because he ate the headache medicine his mom gave him before his food and the doctor erred on the side of caution to get into his mom's pants and to get his son a boyfriend. Thanks so much. I laughed a bit myself on the reread. I used to love pez. Link to comment
