this British movie, released tomorrow in the UK, deals with A.I. and the Turing Test.

Here's the IMDB synopsis

Caleb, a 24 year old coder at the world's largest internet company, wins a competition to spend a week at a private mountain retreat belonging to Nathan, the reclusive CEO of the company. But when Caleb arrives at the remote location he finds that he will have to participate in a strange and fascinating experiment in which he must interact with the world's first true artificial intelligence, housed in the body of a beautiful robot girl.

So, what exactly makes a computer / A.I. female? Or male?

Been there done that with 'Weird Science.' I'd even take a remake of Demon Seed except this time its the poor guy who is raped by the machine instead of the lady protagonist. It would be more upsetting for straight men and introduce the element of male rape that made the movie ALIEN so uniquely disturbing.

Dammit why aren't I writing these dumb TV Shows???

Sorry about the Italics...I can't seem to turn them off for some reason.

it's gonna be a while before machines are having sex - so, that kinda kicks sexuality into touch.

In the meantime, that just leaves the question of gender assignment. Which is presumably more than just sticking a pair of "tits" or "bits" on the thing :P

I asked Siri and she said she existed beyond the human concept of gender.

She was a bit cheeky with me, she replied 'Animals and French Nouns have genders, I do not'

I envision the whole sexual aspect of A.I. as beginning very similar to the scenario in the movie Her. A movie that I consider underrated. The act of affection, as it is in the movie, is easily seductive, to both. Then, because the A.I. does not truly have the same spark, if you will, as humans do . . . they would grow in a different direction than we. And we could only hope that that direction would not lead to our demise, I'm thinking.

Her was a far superior movie to Ex Machina. I agree that it is highly underrated.

So the android Ava was merely a robotic sex doll.

well... sort of. she turns out to have no empathy at all and *spoilers in white text*>> leaves the main character to starve to death in a locked room after he helps her escape. This is only really possible because of the death of another AI android which makes NO sense, either logistically or within the film.

The film was released quite a long time ago.
I wonder how much the attitude of people to robots has changed?
Where I heard that they want to create a sex robot.. Let's be honest, it won't be for a while. Because now silicone sex dolls are in great demand. And while there will be demand, there will be supply. Let's be honest, people are running away from relationships now because they don't want problems. I'm no exception. I have been using the services of my submissive sexual partner for a long time (if I may say so) . I ordered it on https://www.ovdoll.com/p/love-dolls/. I saw one comment on the forum. The author said that having sex with a doll is like having sex with a corpse.
Come on, man, they look so realistic that once you try it, you won't be able to stop!
