First of all, thank you for taking the time to swing by my about me page and learn a little more about me.

I am a high school science teacher as of January 2011.  I teach chemistry and physics, currently in Southern California, but with an eye to moving back home to Alaska in 2013.  I've been here since the military sent me to work on "space stuff" in 2003.  It's time to go home.

I've been writing since at least 5th grade.  I have boxes of old notebooks stashed away with the remnants of half-baked ideas and just terrible stories, but that drive to create is a big part, I think, of why I love teaching.  As a teacher, you take subjects that very few kids actually care about and you present it in a way that makes people excited.

Thank you to GA for providing me with a safe place to come and be creative.  I first started visiting GA in the summer of 2010, took the leap to officially join and become an author in October, and in July 2011, the folks here complimented me by promoting me to Promising Author status.  It's super cool and I hope that my stories encourage you to keep on reading!
