Growing Wings And Other Things - 14. The Wet Grass Of Winter Is Gone

Saying goodbye to my favourite season :(

The wet grass of winter is gone
My favorite season of the year
It will be back, it won't be long
A little voice whisper's in my ear
The winter is gone and so is that chill
The flowers are growing back at their own will
The sun is keeping everyone warm again
But who keeps the sun warm?
It faught off the storms
It fed the swarms
Bring back the rain, release the strain
As I reminisce , the sound of raindrops falling on my window pane.
Again and again and again

Saying goodbye to my favourite season :(

It's so touching, because here in San Francisco, we are on the verge of the start of a rainy season, and look forward to the coming of 'winter,' it's rain and flowers blooming everywhere by Christmas. Love this poem - write more, please.
