2015 poems - 4. The ABC’s of life

Assume, what you don’t know

Believe what you can’t understand

Create things without a purpose

Defend what you love

Embrace the light within you

Fail but never give in

Glow and always shine

Hospitality is like a blank check

Invisible but always felt

Joy is like a butterfly

Known, yet still transcending

Love is like a warm, sweet hug

Memories fade but always linger

Names describe things that always change

Opaque sunlight thorough a window pane

Paints, the room in dimming light

Quiet stillness of a silver moon

Rest, relaxation, and sweet sugarcane

Tao, is a path, a direction and a place

Savor the pain but always radiate grace

Universal truth is always tied to perspective

Vulnerability is a gift and strength is always a choice

Water moves mountains and ebbs with the tide

Xenophobia is a wall. I dare you to climb

Yelling at someone you love, usually doesn’t bring them back

Zephyrs are ethereal winds, blowing away winter bringing back spring.
