Millennium Reviews Book 10 of Chronicles Of An Academic Predator (CAP)
(Chapter 44 Review)
(Chapter 30 Review)
Poor Robbie...he fucked up...he knows he fucked up...he has bent over backwards to solve the problem and there is nothing he is going to be able to do to fix this.

(Chapter 75 Review)
Since I decided from the current chapter of Paternity so re-read Be Rad I have re-read from Be Rad to Millennium. I want to review my I like Robby in Be Rad, but dislike his perspectives in Paternity.
I have realized why Robbie acts the way he does in Paternity and to an extent Darius, Brad, and JJ.
Darius: He probably viewed Will's actions through Robbie's reactions to them. Since he believes Will has Brad (so he sees Brad as biased), JJ has Jeanine (so he sees why JJ reacts badly to Will's actions toward her), and he has Robbie (so he trust Robbie's judgement). I guess watching Robbie's behavior in person influenced his change of heart to Will.
Brad: He value's his connection to Will. Granted he told Robbie he does not put a list on the people he loves I read it more as a coonetion to Robbie. His #1 is tied to both Robbie and Will.
JJ: I understand why he values Jeanine, but I would have thought he would have followed Tiffany more. Granted Jeanine is his "mother" (the only parent to go see him skate) Tiffany was his instructor. I am surprised she did not try to stop JJ's cockiness. Now she is blind, but I guess this is due to JJ being her kid.
Robbie: So far I cannot believe I did not connect Robbie's perspective of Will's actions to Robbie's relationship with his parents. He seems to regret it; probably he is confronted with his parental relationship in Will's actions to him. I am guessing that Will is giving Robbie a taste of Brad and JP converse when JP is wrong. Robbie always joked about it, but he was never in that position. Now I realize how much Robbie use to piss me off. Brad has always been a favorite character of mine (number one until Will in Paternity).
I still like this story, but more so after Robbie and Brad get back together. This also made me realize how I underestimated Claire as a character. She is now one of my favs (Will Brad Claire, Stef Wade).

(Story Review)
EPIC.
DRAMA.
I can't say I understand the idea behind having Robbie suffer a "mid-life crisis" for the first 20 or so chapters, though. Reason I say that is...reading it, it was feeling like a plot for the sake of having a plot.
I do think Alexandra's complex super-revenge plot threatened to turn this story into a completely over-the-top affair. But, what managed to keep it "grounded" like the previous stories before it was how even once plans were set into motion to bring her and her cronies down, life still went on for Brad and Robbie as usual. I think that was a very smart approach to take.
And as for Brian...can we get a round of "Ding Dong, the Witch is Dead" in here?

(Chapter 54 Review)
That's an easy one. ABC knows Danfield abused his son. It would destroy the politician's career. I wonder how this is going to be dealt with though.

Robbie: “I thought about what you said, and I can’t do it. I mean, if you want to have sex with someone else with me, I’m fine with that. But I can’t deal with you having sex with someone else when I’m not there.”
Brad: So many emotions flew through my body. Anger that he thought he had the right to set the rules like this when he’d broken them in the first place. Sadness over what this would probably mean for us. And more anger and disappointment, that he didn’t see what I needed, and was once again was putting himself first. But somehow I managed to stay calm, something I needed to work on doing more often anyway. “Explain that.”
For God's sake, it's 29th chapter and we still hear the same. It's all around Brad who wants to f**k other guys whenever and wherever he wants because HE doesn't get emotionally attached to them (not true) while Robbie does. Brad is selfish, arrogant, self-centered slut with a very fragile psyche who likes to preach others and set rules for them - the same rules he's not willing to abide. AND he doesn't see it! He can see all the flaws in Robbie but he himself has never (in this story) done any retrospection - never ever pondered the arguments Robbie gave him (even if there are mentions he needs to work on some of his biggest flaws). That somewhat reminds me of JP in his prick days early in the saga. JP had 30 years before he overcame it, I really hope Brad won't take that long.
And after what Robbie said - I think very reasonable from his point of view (let's f**k other guys but together) - if Brad breaks up with him just because of that (and blames Robbie for that I bet), then he definitely loses as a character. I heard about how the story evolves, I think their wedding is in the blurb even. BUT if Brad doesn't pull his shit together... i.e. if the author doesn't manage to make ALL characters more... balanced then well IDK what to think about the story. Maybe the return wasn't worth it. Maybe I moved on and I might not be the target readership. I might be the wrong reader reading a wrong story.

Bah... “Brad, sometimes things are just not your fault. Sometimes you’re not responsible when things go bad,” JP told me. “Tell that to Robbie.” OF COURSE HE IS RESPONSIBLE! He's responsible too! And with his slutty behaviour he's making it worse.

It was a good place to finish. Still no clue as to whom
will be caught in the 9-11 attack or the impact on this
intrepid and extended family.
We all await the next book in the ongoing saga of JP &
progeny.

The way Brad dealt with Mike at the end showed that he has class and doesn't want to hurt those who are innocent.

At first I thought that what happened to Carson was really too much, but after some thought I guess it really wasn't. Even if he was under Alexandria's thumb (or whoever) he made the choices he made all along with Robbie and then to actually do what he did to the Boys (or Will in particular). Whether he would have done something else with him or not, Brad couldn't take any chances.
As for Brian - well - good riddance to bad rubbish. This is a story after all and not real life - so I think Mark can take the liberties he wants. I'm sure it made him feel good too.

I can't imagine what surprises will occur in the finale!
Perhaps, some foreshadowing of the next book in

I must say that whenever you have Brad make the shape with his hand for fisting and use it to tease Robbie that has got to be the hottest thing I've ever read. I definitely look forward to those parts.

Fast paced, riveting and confrontational. It ends with Stef diffusing the situation between Brad
and J.P. in his famous style. I loved every word of it. Oh, and there is a reference to a little potential
kink as well that acts as a bridge between two different scenes. Neat!

I must admit Brad's plan to set up Brian is sheer poetry after what he tried to do. What I'm really concerned about is his (Brad's) relationship with JP. We'll see, I guess.

Sometimes I think JP is just a bag of secrets and he's so miserly with them - he lets them out only when he perceives some danger approaching...he would make a great Secretary of State.

Anyway.... I always wondered when memories of his mother would came back to Brad and they did in vivid detail. On the flip side his view of his 'bio father' has changed considerably which is the positive to come out of this. With what Jordan gave him as well he at least has something physical as well as mental to remember him by.
Excellent as always Mark.
