Of God and Angels

Genres: General Fiction,

Michael, the Archangel learns his real truth. Will he be able to live it?

This is a story based on my upbringing in the Church, and theories I have read. It may challenge your ideas about God, Jesus and Satan. If this may upset you, I ask you not to read this piece.

When tim first asked me to read this piece, it made me question what I believed. While I don't consider myself Christian, I respect those who hold those beliefs. This piece to me is an look in on the nature of duality. Good/Evil, Light/Darkness, Heaven/Hell... they are each two sides of the same coin. tim brilliantly brings that duality in focus, and makes us question the foundations of faith.

Theories about religion and the origins of good and evil have been discussed for centuries. In this short story, tim provides an intriguing perspective to consider. No matter your personal belief, Of God and Angels will draw you into its plot and leave you contemplating the many paradoxes of religious platitudes and the human condition.

one thing that tim always tells other writers is "write bravely."  in Of Gods and Angels, he does just that. he offers a story that challenges beliefs, offers an alternate view, to what most of us grew up with; beliefs that some still hold. he does it respectfully, thoughtfully, intelligently.
come with an open mind, be prepared to think, it's a short story that packs a punch.  and it is very much worth the read.
