Another One Lost - 1. Another One Lost

A boy awakes in a corner

He cowers, and feels a rush of pain

He’s battered and bruised

Lost and confused

His body shows the trauma

For it came from his papa

Deep shades of blue and purple appear upon his skin

He can’t remember how he got here

There is no comfort

Only pain

He wants to cry

For it may be the only console he’ll ever receive

Deep down he’s torn

Was he ever supposed to be born?

How could his father be so cruel

What a fool!

A punch to the head, a kick to the groin

All for the sake of making his son straight

Life’s not fair

This isn’t some game

It’s not to be played

He takes one final breath

It’s his last

The pain is no more

He’s now a free soul.

All of this, because he was Gay

What a shame.

A very good poem, being an abusee myself I know where it came from. Totally different circumstances but the pain is the same.

Poetry takes so many forms and this is good :) Well Done

So sad... I liked this poem, even though it made me frustrated again from all the bigoted assholes out there. This made me feel, and that's the best kind of writing, be it poetry or stories, there is. Wonderful job.

I understand the abuse, know full well, but never experienced anything such as this. Of course, since I still stand here. But I know those feelings.. :( And thank you. I'm glad you liked it.. Hopefully I'll write some more before some other poetry comes out in my stories :P

Wow, you are full of surprises. This is a very sad, but great piece. Hard to think that things like this happen everyday. Good job though even if it was pretty sad.:)
