This is the first part of a multi-part story of two 14 year old boys searching for their sexual identity as they tie knots in their lives. It documents the challenges their friendship faces as the boys move through their freshman year in high school. Each part of the series covers a year of the boys' high school life until they graduate from high school.
Andy and Matt are searching for their sexual identity. They are confused by their hormones and the thoughts and feelings they experience. The boys like boys. Girls are unknown territory for them. The questions is, what path will they choose? What kinds of knots will they tie in their lives? The story unfolds with each boy sharing his memory of their freshman year in high school. The story gives us a glimpse of how each boy perceives the same situation. Knots 2 and 3 cover their sophomore year in high school.
