Beautifully written, evocative story. Lifelong friendship is another kind of love and parting can be equally as painful.

The story made me cry, then the song did a second time.

I'm so glad you listened to the song too.  The singer wrote it as a tribute to his mother after she passed away.  I think it's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
