Sam writes stories as a hobby and a sanity saving escape from the real world, which can sometimes be complicated and depressing. He's fundamentally a romantic at heart, which frequently informs his fictitious worlds. But that's not to say that everything is always perfect, where would be the fun in that?
  1. Not Just For Christmas

By Sam Wyer, in Fiction. 05/02/2018 (Updated: 06/15/2018)

Tligg is a fairly average elf - and this is the story of his how his world came to include Craagen. It’s a story of friendship and love, as well as the things that happen in between and around such intense feelings. Meeting by pure chance, their first encounters ended up being an intense experience. But is that enough to lead to something more?

  2. Scene Change

By Sam Wyer, in Fiction. 05/03/2018 (Updated: 06/13/2018)

Connor is making a nice life for himself, without too many serious thoughts about 'the future'. So what happens when his world is changed forever?

  3. The Gift

By Sam Wyer, in Fiction. 12/24/2017 (Updated: 12/24/2017)

Against his expectations, Tligg Winterbaum has a surprisingly good time when he ‘volunteers’ for the Christmas preparations at the annual Great Project.

  4. All About Jake

By Sam Wyer, in Fiction. 09/27/2017 (Updated: 11/29/2017)

If life was there for the taking, then it might look a lot like Kay Walker’s life. A good family with liberal and accepting attitudes, doing impressively well at college both on and off the field, a big circle of friends, and a promising future.

Of course, there are a couple of problems with this picture. Firstly, it wouldn’t make a very interesting story. And secondly, perhaps more importantly, it’s not quite true. Or at least, it’s not the whole picture.

  5. Cal

By Sam Wyer, in Fiction. 07/11/2017 (Updated: 09/18/2017)

Just your usual love story, with a slightly less than usual guy.

    Quote

It's one thing to steal a car from a dark deserted street, quite another to steal a man's heart in front of his friends.

Thanks to Parker Owens for the quote.
