Ask An Author 3.0 #22

Another month has come and gone. Over here in Kentucky, we're actually getting some autumn weather for once. I'm used to going from intense heat to severe cold within a week. No need to immediately break out the heavy coats. However, I am getting used to coming up with innovative ways to freshen up Ask An Author. No questions came in this past month, so we're switching things up.  We're going back to interactive. When we didn't have questions last time, our authors and readers asked and ans

Rip: Trebs

Rest In Peace We must share the sad news that Trebs, or Robert, as he was known to many long-time friends on GA, has passed away, far too soon, from his battles with lymphoma. As a board member and administrator, he has been involved with GA for a long time. He was a big presence in the site blog in recent years, but he was so much more than that and often active in quiet ways. He was always willing to help others whenever, and however, he could. So many of us here were lucky enough to

First things first! A monumental thank you goes to @Renee Stevens for starting this whole thing back in 2019. For several of our online community, we loved getting to know our fellow writers in a fun and quirky way. With that said, we're keeping this proverbial gravy train going, even for the wei

The "reveal" will occur on April 1st, so try and get your guesses in before then. The only prize for this game is bragging rights, if you guess more right then anyone else. Napervic: 1968 - 2013, Rest In Peace

It's with great sadness that we report that one of our most notable members, NaperVic, passed away recently.   As many of you know, Vic was an active guy who enjoyed working out and running with his dog Mina. He had been warming up for a race when he suffered a major heart attack. After being rushed to the hospital, he remained unconscious until he slipped into a coma. Though he put up an amazing fight to survive, he finally succumbed to his injuries and passed away.   Vic has been active o

Puppilull has only been writing on our site for just over a year now, but she's already posted several unique stories that have grabbed our readers' attention. If you haven't read any of her work before, let me suggest her contemporary romances Thaw and Frost. My personal favorite is a historical short story, Lupercalia, written for this year's Secret Admirer story contest. Puppilull seems to have a way of creating inte

Hopefully you enjoy it and have lots of comments or questions ready to ask! But first, I have an interview with her to share... apparently she's never had to talk about herself that much! LOL     What action would your name be if it was a verb? Hmm, well if my name were a verb it would be daydreaming.  I’m always being accused of da

Featured Story: Desert Dropping

Ha! Time to rile up all the lazy Domaholics on the site. This week's featured story is by their missing favorite author Dom Luka, which of course everyone wants out of hiding... well everyone that is except maybe our reviewer.... Desert Dropping by DomLuka published on GA December 27th, 2010. 36 chapters, 389,678 words.   It was a tried and true—if overused—premise. The protagonist, a typical closeted teenager named Rory, is thrust into a new environment and famil
