Life In Lowercase

Some people have asked me why I refer to myself as tim - not Tim. Some have been mightly upset that i do (i have trouble writing I rather than i as well).

Many people accept my choice of lowercase, others not so much. Some refuse to write my name that way, saying i shouldn't do it. Well, i figure it's up to me.

There are reasons i do it, most them have to do with how i see myself, how i see the world and how i fit into it. It also has a lot to do with my lifestyle. I live with a very alpha male, a very dominant top, which is more than fine with me, as i am his opposite. Marriage and Michael are two of the best things to happen to me. I'm genuinely very happy most of the time. Nothing and no one is perfect and i know that.

But i am happy. And i am tim.

I didn't know that, but I do now. If you wants to be tim, be tim ! :2thumbs::hug:

I didn't either, but if it's important for you it is for me and i'll keep in mind to call you tim :)

You guys are sweet ... i don't mind if people forget.. but it's the ones that just tell me no that get to me.

Thanks xoxxo

I love you just the way you are tim. Don't ever change for anyone but yourself because I doubt you would be happy if you did. You being happy makes me happy.

As a fellow s (though I suspect your Alpha is slightly more Alpha than mine... LOL), I've always appreciated the way you quietly refuse to hide or let anyone try to make be someone you are not.

Today, it seems to be so very provocative to relinquish that precious control, but if it's who we are why should anyone care? I can get really riled up at the sometimes derogatory attitude towards s and bottoms that can be seen all too often. I mean what would all those D/tops do if there were no s/bottoms...?

I always write your name as tim, but my phone automatically generate it as Tim. Sometimes I'll just try to change it to the small letter, and sometimes I just go along with it. But now as I had read this, I am going stick to tim itself. Thank you for sharing your feelings with us. :)

And you never said Michael was dominant top, ha... ;):blushing::gikkle:

I'll make an effort to use a lower case t from here out. No guarantees though love! Capitalizing names is such a habit, and auto correct gets in the act, so please know it has nothing to do with the way some people try to change others pov.

I never really realized that there could be such a meaning behind someones writing in lowercase. I probably didn`t even realized your name or the I written in lowercase at all. Because the words you write impress me and not their size.

But now I know and will keep it in mind.

As someone who could be versatile in more than one way, I am totally with Puppilull. ;-)

And I would add, for me living on the dominant side always required someone, who had the strength to allow and trust me being it.

And I really hate labels, which were given from the outside to me. I guess at a certain point in life, you know, who you are and if your happy with it, it`s fine. That is all that matters.

Hugs to you tim.

By the way in German I (ich) is always written in lowercase, except for the beginning of a sentence.  ;-)

Yes, to have it interpreted as weakness is so wrong. It takes a lot to dare to open yourself like that and give yourself over. Just as a good D is strong in their way. A bully is almost never attractive...

No ... Michael is no bully, but he knows what he wants and he gets it. But he also looks after me, he went to every docs appointment with me when i was ill, he always has. He listens and is like the sweetest giant..
