Writing Prompts #572 & #573

Hope everyone has had a great week so far and is looking forward to the weekend. What better way to start it off than with brand new prompts! If you've been feeling stuck, or maybe just want to do something a little different, maybe one of these prompts will jump start a new idea. A reminder: Prompt responses under 1,000 words must be posted as part of a collection.

Prompt 572 – Creative

Tag – First Line

What do you mean you are leaving now?

Prompt 573 – Creative

Tag – Trouble

Most people seen Tommy and said he was nothing but trouble. You seen Tommy and called him a friend. At least until Tommy brought a world of trouble to your door, begging for help. What do you do?

For this week, we're going to look at last weeks response to Prompt #571

Mikiesboy - The Notebook

The phone was ringing. I knew it was just a dream. The phone kept on ringing.

An annoying dream it seemed.

I reached for the phone, and in my dream, put it to my ear. “Hello?”

“Den?”

I knew the voice.

I like that first line prompt. :2thumbs: I can feel another Rob chapter coming up.

Glad you chose to feature prompt #571, since someone forgot to leave a link to his #570 Metaprompt chapter.  Reminds me, I should check out comicfan's take on that prompt.

It's so rare that someone does the "creative" prompts that I decided since someone did it, I'd feature it. (And I liked the response)

Yeah I liked tim's story too, it was an awesome take on a rather difficult prompt. I thought it was hard enough to do the old First Line journal prompt.

Tommy huh. How did you know? Does everybody have a bad boy in their past named Tommy?

I'm not even sure I can write it. :( It'll read like a Greek tragedy.

I've NEVER written a prompt! How do I do this? What's the max number of words and do I send it to Renee Stevens? When is the deadline?

I'm sorry, I'm not sure if all these answers are elsewhere and I'm just being an idiot. Please slap me on the wrist if I'm wrong posting these questions...

Pick one... write it. Deadline is this whenever but if you want a chance to have it featured, post it before this coming Friday. I have mine in a collection just for Prompts. Then in Writing Prompts find the forum and post a link to your story in there. If you look in Writing Prompts you see a forum for  #570 and #571.
