So, this is a TV show and not a movie... but the show is really fascinating.  There are 10 seasons now.  What I love about the show is that it asks questions that don't have ready answers.  Now, I don't agree with them jumping to "it was aliens!" to everything they ask.  But that doesn't change the fact that something is wrong with the history that we know.

Oh.. And this is the source of Alien Hair Guy Meme.

I've used some of the questions generated by this show as background in my Psionic story universe.

I've watched this with my daughter. She loves it... I admit it makes me roll my eyes a few times, but at times it's fascinating. We have fun bantering back and forth over it. And yeah, that hair is awesome. :)

Late to this post, but I also agree history is not completely accurate. Some of the claims are a little far-fetched, but I like the idea of "Ancient Mysteries".

There used to be shown like "Dark Matters Twisted but True", hosted by John Noble of Fringe, which give us a glimpse into the bizarre fringe areas of science and weird. I didn't know doctors were experimenting with head transplants (Futurama probably got inspired by this) or the Russians/Soviet Union were attempting human-ape hybrids, but in the back of my mind, I'd always known someone would be resourceful or unethical enough to do such a thing.
