You’ve bought a home that is over a hundred years old, but looks like brand new. You meet the previous owner to take the keys and are informed there is one small detail that must be done daily. They inform you, that no matter what else happens, make sure to leave a fresh bowl of cream on the kitchen counter every night. They stress this must be done for your own sake and leave. What does this mean? Do you follow the directions?
