What can I say? :worship:

Did you ever wonder what happened in a story after it was finished? In this fantastic fantasy, Jack Scribe has brought his considerable talents to bear on the question of whatever happened to Peter Pan.

I have to admit that I was surprised to learn that the Internet has made it all the way to Neverland, but one must underestimate modern technology at ones own peril. At least the Neverland connection is powered by ecologically sound solar power. :2thumbs:

Peter learns that there are things that the eternal boy can't have -- unless he decides to grow up. Becoming an adult has its own problems, but Peter, with the able help of Tinkerboy, faces up to the challenges as he keeps his goals firmly in mind. :boy:

There was one particularly sad part to the tale, though. I had always assumed fairies were immortal and I was upset to learn otherwise.... :(

Congratulations, Jack! This is an excellent example of a 'what happened next?' story. B)

Thanks, Graeme, for your kind, supportive comments!

I'm quite proud of this short story. The Anthology was a well-timed opportunity for me to switch writing gears and make a quick 180 degree turn. My last series - Domes and Teapots - was a fairly serious political thriller/satire/romance story and I needed to change pace. Perhaps "lighten up" is a better description. I hope the fun of writing about an adult-to-be Peter Pan comes through to the reader.

Your feedback is always appreciated. Stay tuned for a new series titled Life's a Grind. It should be ready to roll out in a couple of weeks.

Jack, this was brilliant! My, how things have changed in Neverland! Tink is hilarious, and one wonders just how he spews his special pixie dust.... :2thumbs::2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

This is indeed quite a change of pace for you, and you handled it very well indeed. I'm really looking forward to "Life's a Grind".

Ummm, That title mystifies me. You last one was "Domes and Teapots" set against politics in DC, and that makes me wonder how "grind" is used here. I'll take a wild guess and say, it's set in the Coffee industry?

Thank you for the great story! :2thumbs:
