The prologue and first chapter of my anniversary story Lost & Found is up. I guess we need a place to yell at the author, because that will definitely happen eventually.

No yelling (at least not yet, anyway :gikkle:) but talk about an emotional roller coaster...and some one-two punches to the emotions. :(

 

Superb storytelling is definitely evident, I'm just hoping we've seen the last of the really bad times and can look forward to something a little happier, maybe? :thumbup::)

Yes, I find it very hard to yell at anyone at the moment. I'm more at the hugging stage. So very, very sad to feel like you have wasted precious time doing things that in the end doesn't matter. The guilt of surviving on top of that.

 

I must agree with the review from Dr Paladin. Danny would never have wanted Morgan there. No sense in them both being killed. Although, I can understand the reaction. Especially from a man like Morgan, used to taking charge and doing things. He would feel like he could have done something if he was there.

I'm glad I managed a not yell-worthy chapter. :) JK.  I honestly don't know where it goes, but I can promise there will be happier times.

I haven't read the chapter yet, but either...? Though I wouldn't smack Adi. Not very hard at least. LOL

No, I'd never smack Adi either. Not unless he wanted me to. :P

 

As for the chapter, well Morgan is being silly. Sad but annoying too.

Exactly ! He didn't do anything about Beck and how he makes him feel. Though I'll admit the puppy deals made up for some of his behavior now and in the past.

It's not so much that he's going slow (although I bet his dead lover would yell at him for not getting on with his life for such a long time), but that he seems to be denying or ignoring his need to feel connected to other humans. Why does he avoid Beck? It's because he's afraid. But why be scared of a guy who might become a friend? Morgan is avoiding that question too, because he doesn't want to admit the answer: that he's ready to feel again and perhaps even fall in love again. Now that annoys me, not him taking it slow.

I think Morgan is still at the better safe than sorry stage. He loved so deeply and blew it (in his mind), that he scared to feel anything again and most likely feels he's not worthy of love again since he failed last time. So he can't even allow himself friends. I can't be annoyed at a scared man.

Yes, there will definitely be a chapter four. I had an idea for the Secret Admirer contest and the spring anthology, which kept me from writing my other stories. I'm a slow writer. I hope I'll have the next chapter out at the end of March. Thank you for asking, Coastguard. :)

Maybe we should ask Timothy M to write the next chapter. He's a slow writer too! But maybe not quite as slow?  [runs away being careful not to poke himself with his own pitchfork, now seeing the wisdom of fairybites!]

LOL, feel free to poke me in my story topics too. Hungry Birds are always welcome and may even inspire me to write. ;)
