I have to stop wishing people a happy new year today - to be fair, they look at me like I’m crazy, because I don't say "happy Chinese new year" and I’m not Chinese. I spent a lot of time explaining to students that I married into a Chinese family, then I get them to remember my last name and they go "Oh yeah...!" like it's some crazy revelation and that I'm not also the person who taught them how to make good stir fry and told them what a wok is....

Yukon Quest sled dog race started yesterday in Whitehorse, Yukon. It'll take the teams more than a week to reach the finish line in Alaska.

Not yet, but I will one day. He's not that big yet. Hopefully by our next zoo visit he'll be walking well enough to have shoes, so then we might have some fun fancy dress.

While I love Jian and Em and would love to know what their lives look like in a couple of years, I agree with you about letting them live their lives in peace. I'm all for letting characters have their happily ever after without us poking and prodding at them.

 

Sasha, I'm sure you have plenty of other characters ready and waiting to be shared with us. And I love the Best Circle in Hell series, so I'm excited to see what Innocent Sacrifice brings!
