New Members Welcome-Introduce Yourself!

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am new here and was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a way to mark the stories that you have read?

Thanks

Welcome to GA :)

Until this new  feature comes you can press "follow this story" it's at the top of the story page to the right - here is an example  https://www.gayauthors.org/story/rachelgebhardt/maxandjason and the story will be on your profile as "favorite stories"

Hi all - been here for a while but only just discovered this posting. I've read a lot of the stories and I've loved all of them.

Keep on writing and I'll keep on reading.   :D

Welcome to the forums! Hope you'll stick around and join in on some discussions as well. :)

Hi newbies, and welcome. If you have any questions, find a forum and ask. Lots of folks here willing to help. Or pop into chat, PM somebody, whatever, just don't sit by yourself on the sidelines (unless that's what you want).

peace, y'all

Hello GA! I joined a while ago and lost my nerve because of the wealth of excellent writing to be found here. You lot can be rather intimidating, you know?  :P But now I am back and hoping to get some stories up soon!

What sort of fun stuff may one get involved in 'round here? I see the story prompts. Is there anything that caters to roleplayers?

Welcome Aaron Penrose. Many writers here write so that you are looking through the eyes of the characters. For me, that's role Playing and escape. I hope that is an answer you can find useful. But I haven't run into a story specifically about role players if that's what you mean but that is not saying it isn't here. There is so much material here that if it isn't here a posting in the prompts forum I'm sure would set the place on fire to create one.

Be welcome!

Hi Aaron. Don't be frightened of us. We are not as intimidating as it seems! And Ricky has an excellent point, there is definitely an "ask and ye shall recieve" thing going on, for example WL's Halloween and Christmas challanges and Comicfan's weekly prompts.

Howdy, Aaron. If you don't see the type of challenge you're thinking of, create your own. Chances are, you'll find someone who wants to participate. Maybe somebody who'd never considered it before.

If you're intimidated because you feel your writing could use some help, there are plenty of folks who can help. Most are harmless, but there's this one little dang blue bear... :P

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome!

Hi Aaron, welcome, welcome. We're really friendly and don't bite, usually. The prompts are always a good start. Maybe you want to take a look at Cole's Gaia Town anthology?

Oh wow, that's really interesting. I'd definitely enjoy something like that, but unfortunately I am not nearly creative enough to be a fantasy writer, lol. I'm absolutely intrigued by the concept of a collaborative anthology, though. So much so that I am now toying with the idea of creating something similar in a modern/realistic setting.

Oh no, I meant roleplaying as in writer-on-writer story-building. Group roleplaying is also immensely popular but I always enjoyed one-on-one much more because you develop a personal relationship with your co-writer. If you enjoy writing and writing with friends, check out Elliquiy. It's the most prolific adult RP forum on the web where you find the lowest incidence of mindless porn.  :P I may just inquire about creating a little corner in the forums for roleplaying.

I shall ask and hopefully I shall receive! I am definitely going to inquire about a little corner for roleplaying in the forums. I think the community here would enjoy it immensely. I'll have a look at the prompts and the challenges as well. Thanks!

A little blue bear? Oh dear. Thank you for the warning sir!

I don't know about a challenge (I'm not exactly the "challenge" type - I like to write at my own pace aka I'm slow as Christmas), but I'm certainly planning to get more involved.

You'll be fine Aaron.  We only bite once  :P  After that, you're safe. :)  Pull up a chair and read, write, and visit awhile. :music:

Haha, thank you. I certainly hope to stick around; I'm thoroughly enjoying the site thus far.

Well, unless you like it. ;)

Ohoho, now we're talking!

Welcome, Aaron!

I would have to disagree with you about your creativeness; I think you're very creative. I just read the chapter of your new story and I think it's great and VERY creative! I can't wait to read more!

Have you updated it yet???? Hint, hint, hurry up, I can't wait to see what happens next! :)
