  1. Chronicles Of An Academic Predator 1. Chronicles Of An Academic Predator (CAP)

By Mark Arbour, in Fiction. 12/11/2010 (Updated: 01/03/2011)

This is the first story in the CAP series. It starts in 1962 and ends in 1963, taking in such seminal events as the beginning of the Civil Rights Movement, the Vietnam War, and the Kennedy assassination

  2. Be Rad 4. Chronicles Of An Academic Predator (CAP)

By Mark Arbour, in Fiction. 12/17/2010 (Updated: 01/05/2011)

This story is the fourth installment in the CAP saga. Be Rad begins in 1980, at the end of Brad Schluter's junior year of high school.

  3. 1968 2. Chronicles Of An Academic Predator (CAP)

By Mark Arbour, in Fiction. 12/30/2010 (Updated: 01/05/2011)

"1968" is a sequel to "Chronicles of an Academic Predator." It takes place in (big surprise) 1968, amid the revolutionary climate of the United States and France. Author's Note: The events of this year were huge, and were constant, I can't imagine a year in recent history that was so convulsive. In fact, there were so many major events that sometimes it felt like writing the story was like wrapping the characters around the history, rather than the other way around.

  4. The Land Whore 3. Chronicles Of An Academic Predator (CAP)

By Mark Arbour, in Fiction. 12/30/2010 (Updated: 01/06/2011)

The story continues (from "Chronicles of an Academic Predator" and "1968") with a new narrator, Stefan, and a new era. This story is set in 1973-74, a period of history that is noted for events such as the Yom Kippur War, the Arab Oil Embargo, and Watergate. More than in past stories, economics are a big issue here, due to increasing inflation and an extended bear stock market.

  5. Man In Motion 5. Chronicles Of An Academic Predator (CAP)

By Mark Arbour, in Fiction. 12/30/2010 (Updated: 01/06/2011)

"Man in Motion," follows Be Rad and begins in 1985. To most Americans, 1985 was about the second Reagan term and the economic boom that was following the stagnant 70's. The culture was wrapped up in materialism, so it's no wonder that Madonna's "Material Girl" was popular then. Then there is this parallel culture, the gay culture, reeling from the onslaught of AIDS.

  6. A Summer Love 6. Chronicles Of An Academic Predator (CAP)

By Mark Arbour, in Fiction. 12/30/2010 (Updated: 01/05/2011)

"A Summer Love" is the 6th installment in the Chronicles of an Academic Predator series. The story moves to 1991, the year that the Soviet Union dissolved and Jeffrey Dahlmer was caught eating other men.

  7. If It Fits 7. Chronicles Of An Academic Predator (CAP)

By Mark Arbour, in Fiction. 12/30/2010 (Updated: 01/06/2011)

By Mark Arbour, in Fiction. 12/30/2010 (Updated: 01/06/2011)
