The Barnstable Chronicles: Vic Greenley Comes Home - 11. The Pool Boy and the Cowboy

Vic and Perry seem to be getting off to a fun start. But Hunter is arriving soon and someone's world is going to be turned upside down... and you'll NEVER believe who gets the ball rolling!
Yeah, yeah, yeah... we have a new character... and he's NOT going to get his own book! HaHa!
Enjoy!
-Geoff

Vic wrapped his arms around the adorable boy in his hot tub. Perry nuzzled his neck and kissed, nipped, and sucked—but not hard enough to leave a mark.

“God, Perry! You’re so fucking hot!” Vic picked the boy up and turned around, setting him on the edge of the hot tub.

Vic knelt into the water and took Perry’s six-inches into his hand, pulling it out from his abs. He swirled his tongue around the head, causing Perry to throw his head back and spread his legs apart. Vic lowered his head until his lips met the trimmed blonde pubes on his new pool boy. With Perry’s cock down his throat, Vic wrapped his hand around the tight, hairless ballsac, caressing them as he pumped his head.

“Ooooh, Vic. So good! So fucking good!” Perry leaned back on his elbows and opened himself to Vic. “Get me ready. I want you inside me!”

Vic didn’t have to be asked twice. He buried his face between the firm globes of Perry’s ass and tongue-fucked him into oblivion. Of course, Vic didn’t have any lube at hand, so he dropped large amounts of spit onto his hard eight inches. He looked at Perry and asked him if he could take it with spit for lube.

“Fuck yeah, Vic. It’s my favorite way!”

Vic dropped some more spit for good measure and smeared it around his cock. He placed the head at Perry’s wet hole and eased in. Once he broke through, he used short strokes to slowly deepen his penetration.

Perry hissed, moaned, and cursed as Vic’s cock filled him to the brink. When Vic hit bottom, he stayed there to let the boy get used to his size. It didn’t take long for Perry to begin flexing his muscular glutes, letting Vic know he was ready for everything he had to give.

“Now, Vic. Fuck me!”

And he did. As Vic began pumping in and out of the amazing teen ass, water from the hot tub was splashing around, soaking the pool deck all around the boys. After about five minutes, Perry wrapped his legs around Vic and pulled himself up, holding on to Vic’s neck. They kissed deeply with the boys still joined together by Vic’s cock.

Perry broke the kiss. “Lay on the deck. I wanna ride that big boy!”

Vic smiled and did as requested. Once he was lying on his back, Perry rotated his ass until he found the right position to give his prostate the best pounding. He threw his head back and began riding for his life—pounding his ass into Vic.

“Fuck, Vic! You’re huge! So. Fucking. Huge!”

After several minutes of riding, Perry knew his prostate couldn’t take much more and felt the feeling deep inside that meant he was going to nut soon.

“Fuck! Oh! Oh! Ooooooooh! Gonna nut, Vic! Gonna—Ooooooo, Fuuuuuuck!”

Perry’s nut sprayed all over himself and Vic. Of course, the boy's pulsing ass was all Vic needed to fire his load deep inside his pool boy.

Perry collapsed on top of Vic. Both boys were panting and trying to return to earth from their orbital orgasms.

“Oh yeah. Glad I got this house. You’re fucking amazing! Are you only 18? How the fuck did you get to be such a sex monster?”

“Dude, there’s a lot more you haven’t seen yet. But I had the best teacher in the world. Angelo was from Italy. And let me tell you that everything they say about Italian boys is true—times ten.”

“We need to clean up before we get stuck together.”

“Follow me.”

Perry led Vic behind a fence that was hidden by bamboo chutes. It was an outdoor shower. Vic fell in love with his new home even more! He’d never experienced a full-fledged outdoor shower.

The boys showered and cleaned each other and enjoyed swapping hand-jobs. Once they dried off, they picked up their clothes from the patio and pool deck and walked inside. Perry started to dress, and Vic told him there was no need to dress unless he had to leave or was suddenly embarrassed.

Vic made some iced tea and brought a glass out to the living room, where Perry was lying on the sofa, gently stroking his semi-hard cock.

“Well, this sure wasn’t how I was expecting to spend my first day in my new house. Not that I’m complaining or anything!”

“When I saw you looking at the house with your mom that first time, I started praying hard that you were going to be my new neighbor. Jesus, I think I’ve jacked off at least twice a day dreaming about you fucking me!”

“Well, the first time you came over to ask me about the pool deal, I had a feeling—or at least a gigantic hope—that we might end up like this—and then I began praying that you were not a student at my school!”

The boys talked some more about school and some of the different students. Perry told Vic that for the first time, he was glad his mom enrolled him at CCA.

When the discussion came around to figure out what they were to each other, Vic didn’t have to think too long about what the right thing to do was. “Look, please don’t take this the wrong way, but we’re both getting over pretty serious relationships. And while what just happened was incredibly hot and just ridiculously fun, I know I’m not ready for anything serious—and I’m guessing you probably aren’t either.”

“Are you saying you don’t wanna—”

“Oh, Hell no! I absolutely want to have more fun with you! And I definitely want you to fuck me next time!”

Perry got a quirky grin on his face. “Awesome—it started to sound like this was a one-time thing. Had me worried there for a minute!”

Vic then got up from the chair and walked over to Perry. He took his hand and pulled him up off the sofa.

“What’s up, Vic?”

“You’re gonna fuck me now! Just to show you there’s nothing to worry about.”

Vic led him to the bedroom and pulled the blankets and sheets back from the bed.

Journal Entry: 8/29/16

Well, I’m in my new house! Thanks to all the people in this town that owe Dad favors, he was able to cut the wait time in half!

The house is incredible! It was part of an estate sale, and it came complete with abso-fucking-everything! All we had to move in were my clothes, personal shit, and some food. It was amazing.

No, let me tell you what is amazing. I have a pool boy! Well, I had the pool boy—then HE had ME! But dayum! Who woulda ever thought that me—Vic Greenley would have a hot pool boy?

This afternoon I took his hot ass in the hot tub. We cleaned up and sat around for a bit, then I took him into the bedroom, and he took my horny ass. Holy fuck, I will forever remember the view of him hovering over me, dripping with sweat and pile-driving into me. Every muscle rippled in his torso, and damn! Can that boy fuck hard!

He told me he didn’t get to top his old boyfriend much. He said it was part of the Italian machismo thing. Well—if you ask me, Angelo sure as fuck missed out on some hot as Hell fucking!

Speaking of hot fucking—I talked to Hunter after dinner tonight. He’s doing a lot better and is getting antsy to get out of cowboy-land. He’ll be flying into Boston on Thursday night before we break for Labor Day next weekend. Damn! It’s going to be great seeing him.

Pool boy’s gonna love the cowboy! That boy is gonna go crazy. Ian’s flying in Saturday morning, and that pretty much means someone will be having some kind of sex pretty much 24-7 in my new house! Mom and Dad’s Labor Day picnic will be a necessary break—I hope we’ll be able to walk!

The next Monday afternoon, Vic found himself standing in front of 73 kids at the pool. All were eager to be a part of the new swimming and diving team.

“Wow! This is amazing. I don’t think we’ve had a turnout like this in the history of this swim program here at Barnstable High. Of course, not all of you will make the Varsity team. But there’s enough of a turnout where we just might be able to field a JV squad—and that will only make our future varsity squads even better!

“Does everyone have a number? Was your number drawn on your forearm in marker? If not, you need to go back to the registration desk and get that done.

“Now—We’ll be doing several rounds for this tryout. The first round is going to be a 100-meter freestyle swim. This is going to be purely for timing. The top 30 boys and the top 20 girls will move on to the next round. I hate that it’s going to seem very impersonal, but with so many of you trying out, I’m afraid that’s the best we can do right now.

“Now, I want you to be supportive of your fellow students. Cheer them on! But you also need to pay attention. When we call your number, you need to hustle and get your butts on the starting block.”

For the next three hours, all the swimmers made their way through their first tryout. There were some standouts. Most were average or worse. One of the standouts was the Junior class president, Cam Franklin. Vic was surprised to see Hayden Miller trying out. He was probably the most non-athletic kid out of the whole bunch. He was genuinely embarrassed at his time, but Vic made sure that he and every student who didn’t make the first cut was thanked and appreciated.

The next afternoon was tryouts for the different disciplines. By the end of the afternoon, Vic pretty much had a boy’s varsity and JV team. He also had a slightly better than average girl’s squad. But Vic was more excited that for the first time ever—he had a swim team!

Thursday finally came, and Vic had his first practice. The kids were quite excited to have made the team. He worked with the boys and girls who were going to swim the backstroke first. He had them do a lap at 60% speed so he could check their form. He gave each swimmer individual attention and had them do another lap with the first length at 75% speed and the second at 100% speed. He was pleased that they picked up most of the pointers and saw improvement.

He repeated the same thing with all the other disciplines, ending with the 400-meter individual medley. He let each group leave as he finished with them, and at 6:00, he finished the last group of kids.

As soon as practice was over, he asked one of his assistants to close up so he could get to Boston to pick up Hunter at the airport. He arrived at Logan International about 30 minutes before Hunter’s flight arrived from Texas. He waited just outside the arrival gate, and in no time at all, he saw the tall cowboy strolling towards him.

When they finally reached each other, they hugged, laughed, and cried. Both were thrilled to see each other again and headed to the luggage area.

“So, do I need to be showin’ my passport to anyone? I’m pretty sure I’m in a foreign country right now!”

“You dork! God, I’ve missed you!”

The boys grabbed Hunter’s luggage and headed out to the short-term parking garage. They put the bags in the back of Vic’s SUV and were soon headed back to Barnstable.

“Damn Vic! New car, new house, new job. Things are workin’ out great for you, dude!”

“Yeah, I’m pretty lucky. How are you doing? Do you need anything special while you’re here?”

“I’m doin' better. I miss the fuck outta Jaime. I always will. But the strangest thing happened. The day before his funeral, I got a letter from him. It was as if he knew somethin' was goin' to happen. He told me that if somethin' happened to him, and he didn’t make it back—he wanted me to promise him that I would move on. He wanted me to be happy. He said that the time we have together was some of the happiest times of his life and that he hoped that would go on forever-- but then, if not—he was happy that he had the time with me that he had.”

“Wow. It really is like Jaime knew something was going to happen. Well, I’m here for you for at least a week, right?”

“At least. Things are pretty much up in the air right now. I—uhm—well, I resigned from my position in Austin. So I’m more or less a free agent now. Just playin' it by ear.”

“How close are you to graduating?”

“Real close. In fact, after talkin' to my advisors, I should be able to finish up the rest of my courses online. They’re all pretty much general studies. Should be a piece of cake. I’m thinkin’ I’ll be finished by Christmas.”

Before they knew it, Vic was turning into the driveway of his new house and pulled into the garage. They took Hunter’s bags out of the back and walked into the kitchen.

He gave Hunter the grand tour of the house, showing him the living room, kitchen, office, and finally, the guest room. “I’m going to put you in the guest room. We’ll figure the sleeping arrangements when we need to. My cousin is coming in Saturday morning from Kentucky, and he’ll most likely be crashing with me in my room. But he’ll only be here a couple of days. You ready to see the best part of the house?”

“Fuck yeah!”

Vic took Hunter to the back door and led him out to the patio. Both boys turned their heads to the pool when they heard a splash.

“Ummm, Vic? You have a nekkid twink boy in your pool.”

Vic and Hunter walked to the edge of the pool, and Perry swam up to them.

“Holy Mother of God! How can two fucking gods be standing in front of me?”

“Hunter, this is Perry. He lives next door and is also my pool boy.”

“Ahhh, the pool boy with the hot body who loves to fuck? Isn’t that what you told me the other day on the phone?”

“So this is the cowboy you were telling me about, Vic? The one who hates wearing clothes but seems to be wearing a lot of them right now?”

Vic and Hunter looked at each other, stripped down to nothing, and dove into the pool to join Perry. The boys played around, dunking each other, grabbing at each other’s junk, generally having a good time.

Perry announced that as much as he would love to stay and get to know Hunter better, he needed to get home and finish his homework so he could get to sleep. He gave Vic a light kiss and then moved to give Hunter one. Only Hunter wrapped his arms around the boy and made the kiss much longer and more passionate.

“Holy fuck! You cowboys sure do know how to kiss!”

“I’ll be here all day tomorrow while you and Vic are in school. Why don’tcha stop by for a little visit when you get home?”

“Wild horses couldn’t keep me away, cowboy!”

Perry pulled himself out of the pool, his hard cock pointing to the night sky.

“Nice! Fuckin’ nice!”

“Night, Vic. See you tomorrow, cowboy!”

Vic and Hunter watched Perry pull on his shorts and walk out through the gate into the side yard.

“What a hottie you have for a neighbor! But let’s get our nekkid asses inside. I need me some Yankee-boy time!”

The boys gathered their clothes and headed inside. They decided they were hungry and ordered a pizza. When the pizza arrived, Vic put on his bathrobe and let the pizza boy in. Just as Vic finished paying, Hunter walked into the living room, totally naked. The pizza boy’s eyes widened, and he gulped at the vision of the muscled cowboy looking at him. Hunter smiled and winked, and the pizza boy turned and nearly ran out of the house.

Vic turned around after shutting the front door. “Dude, this isn’t the suite. I’m a teacher at the high school now. Luckily, he wasn’t one of my students. I’m hoping he’s either home-schooled or goes to one of the private schools around here. We just need to be more careful.”

“Sorry, dude! I forget you’re a respectable man now. I promise to be more careful. Maybe not so much with Perry, but with everyone else, yes.”

The boys took the pizza into the kitchen and chowed down. Vic apologized for not having any beer in the fridge but explained that he didn’t really drink. They enjoyed some fresh-brewed iced tea with their pizzas and then headed to bed.

Hunter climbed into bed with Vic and told him that he needed to be held. He missed that a lot. They agreed not to have sex since they were both pretty exhausted after an incredibly long and eventful day.

“I’m so happy you’re here, Hunter. I’ve missed your cowboy goodness in my life.”

“I can’t tell ya good it feels to be with ya, Yankee-boy. Can I tell ya somethin’, and you promise not to think I’ve gone all crazy on ya?”

“You can tell me anything you want, big guy.”

Hunter flipped around so he was facing Vic, and they wrapped their arms around each other again.

“Well, three nights ago, Jaime came to me. I thought it was just a dream, but it was so much more than that. I mean, it really felt like he was with me.”

Hunter let out a deep sigh and continued. “He told me he was in a good place and that he would see me there when my time came. He kissed me. I mean, I felt the kiss just as if it were really happenin’, and I was so fuckin’ calm—happy, even. He held me—I did feel his arms, too—he told me he wanted me to move on and be happy. He told me that I was goin’ to meet the next person who was gonna make my life complete. He told me he would be younger than me. He told me that I would meet him through you. Then he showed him to me.”

“Perry?”

“Yeah, I’m pretty sure it is. Jaime kissed me again and said he would always be with me to help me get through my life, and that he would always keep a place in my heart. Then he told me he loved me and just—just faded away.

“I woke up from whatever that was—it definitely was way more than a dream—and instead of cryin', I just felt this amazin’ peace that went down to my core. I was even happy. It was so bizarre.

“And then tonight, when that cute boy kissed me—I could almost feel Jaime telling me to keep kissin' him—he told me that Perry was the one and that Barnstable was my new home.”

“Whoa—are you sure about this? That’s an awful lot of shit to get from a kiss, isn’t it?”

“You’d think so, yeah. But I’m gonna talk to Perry tomorrow afternoon. I think I’m gonna tell him all about Jaime, includin’ what I just told you. Ya think it’ll freak his shit out?”

“I don’t know, Hunter. I’ve not known him very long. But from what I can tell, he’s pretty much got his shit together. I mean, Perry had a boyfriend that was a foreign-exchange student from Italy, and he moved back at the beginning of the summer. He seems to be handling it well. He seems to have a great relationship with his Mom. He’s a responsible kid—and pretty fucking amazing in bed, too.”

“Yeah... You just moved in, and you’ve already tapped that hot little ass.”

“Yeah, sorry! I didn’t know he was going to end up yours. He tapped my ass too, by the way.”

“Well, I sure as fuck don’t have any idea what’s gonna happen tomorrow, but I know I gotta follow the advice I got from Jaime and see what happens.”

“Well, no matter what happens with Perry, you know you are loved. And nothing would make me happier than for you to find a way to stay here. Maybe I can get you on as an assistant with my swim teams. We have so many kids, and I need all the help I can get.”

“Really? You would do that? That would be fuckin’ awesome.”

“I’ll talk to the athletic director and see what he thinks. But I do need to sleep. A full day of those kids—the day before a holiday weekend—is going to be hellaciously long.”

“Nite, Yankee-boy.”

“Nite, cowboy.”

Vic flipped around and scooted into Hunter. It didn’t take long at all for both to fall into a deep and contented sleep.

At 6:30 in the morning—

Now is the time to seize the day!

Now is the time to seize the day!

Vic turned the alarm off on his phone, and Hunter looked over at him.

“You still use that same fuckin’ alarm?”

“Yup! It’s how I start every day. Hell, even Andy got used to it and put it on his phone!”

Vic slid out of bed and told Hunter to go back to sleep. He was going to hit the pool and do laps before hitting the shower and getting ready for school. Hunter said that he was planning to hit the beach and do some running and asked if the beach was close enough to walk to. Instead, Vic said he would wake Hunter up so he could drive him to school and keep the car for himself.

Vic went into his bathroom and relieved himself and then, using the door from his bedroom, went out to the pool and dove in. He immediately decided that a morning skinny-dip and about fifty laps was way better than running. He started at a slow, relaxed pace, and by the time he got to the 40th lap, he was going full-throttle race speed.

Vic didn’t notice Perry watching him from his second-floor window. He also didn’t see Perry nutting all over his window as he watched his swimming god in the pool below.

Vic had Hunter drive him to school so he could have the SUV while he was at work. Hunter agreed to pick him up at 3:30 since there would be no practice.

As Perry went downstairs for breakfast, he found his mother sitting at the kitchen table with her cup of coffee, reading the news on her iPad. He fixed himself a cup of coffee and popped a bagel into the toaster.

“Mama? Since we only have a half-day of school today, can I just stay home—like all the other kids?”

“No, P. You need to go. We go through this every time there’s a holiday weekend. I know you don’t have to worry about grades or anything, but you need to learn about obligations and doing the right thing.”

“I know, I know. You say the same thing every time. But I had to try. It’s a tradition!”

“I love you, munchkin. I need to head to work. I might be late getting home since I don’t work on Monday. I need to get a lot of work done today so I don’t have a miserable week next week. Can you keep yourself busy and take care of your dinner?”

“Honestly? Vic has company in from Texas. Mama, I think something special is there. I don’t know. But everything I felt when I first met Angelo is like ten times more intense with Hunter. Mama, when I get home from school, he asked me to go over and visit. I don’t want to do this behind your back. If things work out well, I want you to be happy for—no, with me. If things go badly, then I want you to be there for me, k?”

“Of course, sweet boy. You know it’s hard for a mother to see her baby boy grow up so quickly. I know the whole Angelo thing was difficult for you. I hated watching you cope with it on your own, and I’m glad you can move on. But don’t forget—you’re only eighteen. Your heart is so, so young—and so, so vulnerable. Be careful, angel. I’m here for you for whatever you need.”

“I get it, Mama. I really do. I’ve not wanted to be with anyone since Angelo left. The summer was hard, but you were there for me and helped me move on. I don’t know what will happen with Hunter, but I know one thing—I’m at least ready to be open to whatever happens. And probably nothing’s going to happen. He’s just visiting Vic. He’ll probably be leaving in a few days.”

“Well, as long as you go into whatever with your eyes open and a clear mind, I’m sure everything will work out just the way it’s supposed to.”

Ginny kissed Perry on the top of the head and headed off to work. Perry finished his coffee, got into his Fiat 500, and headed over to Hyannis for school. He punched his favorite playlist on his iPhone and soon was surrounded by his 80’s Power Ballads.

At about 10:00 in the morning, Hunter finally woke up and went into the kitchen. He fired up the Keurig and made himself a cup of coffee. He decided it was probably best to make the phone call he didn’t want to make—but probably should.

After three rings, his call was answered.

“Hello?”

“Hi, Mom. It’s Hunter.”

“Where are you?”

“I’m visiting Vic on Cape Cod.”

“That’s nice.”

“Actually, it is. I’m seriously thinking of staying here.”

“Why would you want to do that?”

“I need a change of scene. I need a change of pace. I just need a change.”

“Well, if that’s what you need to do—”

There was a long and uncomfortable pause.

“Mom.”

“Yes, Hunter?”

“Why do you hate me? You didn’t even call me after Jaime died.”

“We don’t hate you. We just don’t know you anymore.”

“You could try. Or are you that ashamed of who I am?”

“Hunter, your father and I just don’t—”

“You know what, mom? Just stop with the excuses. They hurt more than the truth. You have my number—call me if you decide you’d like to have your only son back.”

Hunter ended the call and held his head in his hands. After a deep sigh, he went to his bag and grabbed his iPad. Hunter made another cup of coffee, went out to the patio, and fired up his Amazon Prime account. He had been binge-watching Teen Wolf before his world came crashing down. If he was going to take his life back, this was as good a place to start as any.

He was in the middle of the third episode of the second season when he heard the side gate open.

“Perry! You came back!”

Perry had a huge smile on his face as he walked over to Hunter. He sat on the chair next to him.

“How was your morning?”

“I slept late—didn’t wake up until 10. Then I called home to tell my mom I was here, which was about the most unpleasant call I hope to make for the next year or so. Then I just decided to chill and watch some Teen Wolf. How was yours?”

“Just your typical half-day of school. Nothing special. Of course, I didn’t pay attention to anything. It seems all I could think about was an amazing kiss with this cute-as-fuck cowboy.”

That brought cute grins to both their faces. Hunter noticed that as crappy as his conversation with his mother made him feel. Just seeing Perry flipped him around 180-degrees.

“Have you eaten? You hungry?”

“Yeah. All I’ve had is a couple cups of coffee.”

“Good. Can I take you out to lunch? I’d love just to sit and get to know you better.”

“I should probably put on some clothes, huh?”

“Shit! I didn’t even notice! I just kept looking at your face and those blue eyes. I mean, normally—I probably would have jumped your bones, but I felt something when I kissed you last night. Something that makes me want to get to know more about you—a lot more about you.”

“I’d like that. Yeah—I’d like that a lot.”

The boys went inside, and Perry took a seat in the living room while Hunter went into the guest room and pulled on a pair of cargo shorts, tee-shirt, and flip-flops. He walked out to the living room. He made sure the house was locked up, and they went out to the garage and climbed into the SUV.

“Where to? I don’t know anything about this place.”

“How does a burger sound?”

“Sounds great to me!”

“Cool. We’ll go to the Barnstable Restaurant. Just head left when you get out of the driveway. It’s on Main Street and about five minutes from here.”

They made their way to Main Street and had to drive around the block a few times before they found a parking spot. When they entered the restaurant, there was a ten-minute wait, so the boys sat in the lobby.

“So—tell me about Perry Evans.”

“Well, Perry Evans is an eighteen-year-old Senior at Cape Cod Academy. He lives with his mom, Ginny. It’s just been the two of them pretty much as long as I can remember.”

“What about your dad?”

Perry took a deep breath and looked at Hunter. “My dad was in the Army. In 2003, when I was just five, he got sent to the Middle East and was part of the first ground invasion into Southern Iraq. He wasn’t even there for a month when one of those roadside bombs got his convoy. They told mom that he died instantly—that he never felt any pain and never had to suffer like so many of the guys in his squadron did. It was really hard for my mom, but for me—I remember being sad, but mostly confused. I mean—Dad was in the Army as long as I can remember, and he was hardly ever around.”

Hunter’s eyes started to water a bit, and a couple of silent tears fell to his face. “I’m sorry, Perry. I know exactly how your mom feels.”

“Oh God, Hunter. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to get you upset!”

“No. No. It’s okay. I’m actually more sad for your mom and what she had to go through. But go on—I want to hear about your growing up. I’m guessing you were a handful for your mom.”

“Believe it or not, I was probably the best ever kid growing up. I love my mom more than anyone would ever think possible. It was just the two of us. Our relatives are all out of state, and we only saw them on holidays and such when things settled down after Dad died.

“Mom decided to stay here since she had just started at the nursing home and was moving her way up in the Admin part of things. She runs the entire place now. I’m so proud of her. I think it was a hot mess when they put her in charge. She got everything straightened out, and now she even helps other homes in the state.”

“How did you end up going to a private school instead of the high school Vic teaches at?”

“Dad left for Iraq right before I began kindergarten. His parents insisted that I get the best education possible, and back then, public schools were getting a pretty bad rep. So they set up a trust fund to pay for my education from kindergarten through graduate school.”

“That’s pretty awesome, though.”

“Yeah, looks that way, but I think the real reason is that they hated that my dad was in the service, and they wanted me to get the best education I could get so I wouldn’t end up following in his footsteps.”

“When did you start liking boys?”

Perry giggled and smiled at Hunter. “I think I’ve pretty much always liked boys. That was fine up until nine or ten because all the boys thought girls were yucky. I just never stopped thinking that when the other boys decided girls weren’t so bad after all. I couldn’t understand what was wrong with them!”

“Have you had any boyfriends?”

“Oh yeah. Just one, though. Angelo. He was a foreign exchange student from Italy. Up until last year, I just looked at boys—especially the ones on the swim team. I mean, I was discreet about checking out their bodies. But last year, Angelo showed up—and for the first time, I caught a boy checking me out. I didn’t know what to do.

“Luckily, he came up to me after practice one day and asked me to go to a movie with him. He was so sweet. He picked me up at the house, came in, and met my mom—charmed the fuck out of her, too! We went to dinner on the beach and drove to the movie. We were a little early, so we sat in the car.

“First kiss, first grope, first blowjob—we never made it to the movie that night.”

Just then, the boys were called to their table. Perry was embarrassed at the rather obvious tent in his pants he got from thinking about that first night with Angelo, so he walked rather close behind Hunter. Once seated, they were told their server would be with them, and Perry was hoping they would get Donna, his favorite.

“Perry!” Donna walked up to the table and placed a kiss on his head! “I haven’t seen you in forever! And who is this hottie?”

“Donna, this is Hunter. He’s visiting from Texas, but I’m going to see about convincing him to stay here for a while.”

“Well, welcome to the Cape, Hunter. How do you like it so far?”

“Well, I just got here yesterday. But I’m thinkin’ I’m gonna like it just fine!”

“Oh my God! I love your accent!”

“Uhm, Donna—I don’t have an accent. Y’all are the ones talkin’ funny!”

“Well, okay then. You just keep telling yourself that, sweetie!”

Everyone had a good laugh. The boys placed their orders, and Perry continued to share his story with Hunter. He told him his Italian boyfriend showed him how to be a good lover. Perry said he thought he was in love, but then he didn’t really have anything to compare it to.

“But, I guess I have to say, my first kiss with Angelo didn’t feel anything like my first kiss with you, Hunter.”

“Yeah, it was pretty awesome, Perry. I haven’t felt a kiss like that in a long, long time.”

“But Hunter. I know you’re still healing, and that’s one of the reasons you came here. I can’t believe I’m saying this—but I don’t want to have sex with you. Well, I mean—I definitely want to have sex with you—but not tonight—not until you know that you’re ready.”

Hunter’s eyes began to well up with tears as he smiled at the beautiful boy sitting across from him. “I need to tell you somethin', but I also need you to listen to me and not freak out.”

“Mkay. Is everything okay? I didn’t freak you out, did I?”

“Perry, Jaime told me about you. Hell, he showed you to me. He told me we would be good—just like he and I were.”

“Was it a dream?”

“No, I have dreams about him all the time. But since he died, he’s come to me a few times. It’s so much more than a dream. It’s so real—I can feel him—I can touch him. I can see the love we had in his eyes. And he had this message for me. He had somethin’ to tell me—somethin’ to help me—to guide me. Three nights ago, he showed me a beautiful boy with the most incredible smile and blue eyes. And I’m freakin’ out here. I’m sure you’re thinkin’ I’m a total nutjob, too.”

“No, Hunter. Everything makes sense now. You see, I’m pretty sure it was three nights ago when I had a dream—a fucking vivid dream like I’ve never had before. That’s when I saw you for the first time. I couldn’t understand why you were so familiar to me last night. Now I get it.”

“Damn. Jaime’s playin’ matchmaker.”

“Ya think?”

“He told me he wanted me to move on—to let go of the sad—he wanted me happy.”

“And? Are you happy?”

“Happy that I’m here? Yeah. Happy that I met you? Definitely. Not happy that I lost Jaime. He’ll always be a part of me, and I’ll miss him every day I’m on this earth. Happy? When I look at you and see that smile—I’m happier than I’ve been in a long, long time.”

The boys continued talking and finished their lunch. Perry paid for the meal, gave Donna a nicer-than-average tip, and promised to bring his mother in the next time.

They decided to continue their talk on the beach. Hunter and Perry drove to a beachside park, took off their shoes, and began walking East. They played in the water, threw shells into the ocean, held hands, chased each other, and generally had a wonderful afternoon.

They made it back to the car a little after 3:00 and headed to the high school. As they were waiting for Vic to get off work, Hunter looked at Perry and held his face in his hands.

“Do you realize how fuckin' special you are?”

“I’m not all that, Hunter. I mean—really?!?”

“If you were just a normal, hot, sexy, cute, boy—we so woulda been in bed already, and I promise you we woulda fucked at least three times by now. I’m pretty much a horn-dog. But Jaime told me to get to know you first—that I would know when the time was right. And for the record? I’m glad I listened to him for a change.”

Hunter leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on Perry’s lips. “Are you ready for an adventure? Do you think you can handle this cowboy?”

“Hunter, since you kissed me last night, I knew something was special. Different, even. I woke up this morning, and the first thing I thought of was you. It brought a strange kind of peace to me—and morning wood like I’ve never experienced before. My adventure started last night, Hunter. I’m buckled up and ready for the ride of a lifetime.”

They were both brought back to earth by a rapping on the window. “Let me in, lovebirds!” Hunter unlocked the doors, and Vic climbed into the backseat. “Hunter—why is my pool boy sitting in the front seat with you?” Vic winked at Perry.

“We had lunch together downtown. Then we walked for about an hour on the beach. Then it was time to come get you.” Hunter winked at Vic.

“Is something going on here? Have you guys still not fucked?”

“Yep—and nope. We’ll talk when we get home, k?”

“Well, let’s stop and pick up some steaks and stuff for dinner. I want to break in my grill. Perry? You going to have dinner with us?”

“If that’s okay.” Perry didn’t take his eyes off Hunter.

“Hey! Pool boy! I’m back here. You can look at me!” Perry didn’t take his eyes off the cowboy behind the wheel.

Vic chuckled and gave Hunter directions to the grocery store, where they picked up three t-bone steaks, three yams for baking, and some broccoli.

All three boys pitched in with the meal preparation, and in less than an hour, they were sitting out on the patio, enjoying a wonderful dinner. While they ate, Hunter and Perry shared with Vic their stories about Jaime’s matchmaking.

“So, I’m gonna to take his advice. I’m gonna take the time to get to know this amazin’ boy.”

“And I’m going to take my time and try to figure out what the fuck this cowboy is saying whenever he talks!”

“Hey! That’s not fair! Y’all have the freaky accents! I don’t have one!”

Vic looked over to Perry and grinned, “Welcome to my world, Perry. You ready to tame this cowboy?”

“More than you know, Vic. More than you know!”

Well, well, well... did you see that coming? Hunter's going to take his time?? WTF? Now... before you go off on Jaime's part in all this, I just wanted to say this sort of thing actually comes from personal experience. I had a dear, dear friend... probably the closest friend I've ever had pass away and for several days after, he would come to me and we would talk. I thought I was losing my mind until things began to happen and everything made sense. I miss her to this day but am soooo thankful for those special visits that literally changed my life.
So... you know the drill. Let me know what you think. Keep those comments coming! They mean so much to me!!
Love you all!

Great chapter.  Hunter and Perry sound perfect for each other.  And there is nothing wrong with waiting if it is with the right person.  Does this mean with Hunter and Perry paired up that Vic is without again until Ian shows up?  It was great that Jaime arraigned and blessed the new relationship.  What’s wrong with a Hunter/Perry story?  Thanks for the chapter.

“Hey! That’s not fair! Y’all have the freaky accents! I don’t have one!”

Let me just say, I feel your pain Hunter. I'm a native Texan and in the next month or so I'm going to be moving to deep woods East Texas and living in a small town called Rusk. I'm originally from southeast Texas and my natural accent (which I dropped when I moved to the Dallas area almost 30 years ago) always comes back when I visit either east Texas or southeast Texas. anyone north of Dallas pretty much has an accent to me.

I’m guessing Hunter and Perry were served by Donna so you wouldn’t get calls for a story focused on her, right?  ;-)

It was a nice little twist, and it keeps Vic single for when it's Hayden's turn. If I was reading with a sharper eye I may have caught on. As I skimmed back through the story, I did see a couple of hints. Thanks.

I really loved this chapter! You’ve made my day by having Hunter meet Perry, and having the sparks flying between rhem. The visits by Jaime to both was a wonderful way to bring them together. I too would like to see a story about these two characters. They neither one appeared in the earlier stories. You’ve made me grab the tissues again. 😂 You really do have an amazing talent for telling stories and creating complicated deeply moving characters! Thank you so much Geoff! 👏 Looking forward to the next chapter! 😃

I am happy that Hunter and Perry had a visit from Jamie and the both are of

an open mind to take the advice he gave them.

awesome chapter.

Hunter, Hunter brave and bold, oughta be, oughta be dipped in gold,

all of the others oughta be dipped in tar.

That was the catch cry from my high school sports team, it was many moons ago

since I was in high school, I just thought of it and I thought that I would share it. 😃

Geoff: I have to agree with you on Jaime. It seems like everytime something bad happens in my life and has me depressed and down. I feel as if my brother is there telling everything is gonna work out. He passed in 73, he was 7 & I was 9. A few times even after he passed he'd come to me a couple times a week at night and tell me he was fine, no longer sick & suffering. It helped me get on with the loss. Still to this day I feel him with me.

Awww glad to see Hunter might finally get a break, so hoping it works out. Hey, it has to since Jaime arranged it all. Also great to see another supportive parent in Ginny, hopefully she might step in and fulfill a bit of a mother role for Hunter. Im trying to think back where Hunter fits in, I dont recall so guessing they move on at some point? Anyway, enjoying Vics story, notice not many chapters left so expecting things to ramp up shortly.
