Diego is a talented professional wrestler, but his career is circling the drain due to his inability to connect with the audience. Lance is a terrific entertainer, but a terrible wrestler. In a last ditch effort, management decides to pair them up. On screen they are the best of friends, but behind the scenes they despise each other. One is a solemn, hard-working 'straight' man and the other is a flamboyant, lackadaisical gay boy. They can't possibly have any chemistry, but with their careers now joined and hanging by a thread, they're just going to have to find a way.
Occasional bouts of homophobia.
The story does not depict wrestlers "in character," but as performers.
