Cailen's Poem Archive - 14. Chapter 14: Drought

The stanzas are scrambled funky, but i needed to get it out.

You’ve locked that part inside of you, and you just can’t let it show

Don’t you know? Feelings aren’t that organized

You’ve put out life in front of you, as a laid out path to go

But this I know; the feelings that you try and hide

You think that you’re not good enough, that there’s nothing left of you

But I know, that you are bigger still, your love so strong and kind

You think that love is something built, but it’s also something that you do

And this I know; your heart is just as big as mine

So the words that I am trying to say, so that it might be clear

So listen close, and listen dear, please don’t be afraid

That the flames of love inside your heart is something I hold dear

And the love that I return to you is the something that you’ve made

So show that love, please hold me tender, and don’t let it tear us apart

Kiss my lips so you’ll remember when the deed is through

That my body I surrender is attached straight to my heart

And of everything l love, that this heart belongs… to you
