Prompt Rides - 4. Beach Ark

p align="center">Prompt 390

Word List
beach towel - sock monkey - ceramic bowl - Swiss chocolate - turtle.

“Afternoon, may I help you?”

“Hello ma’am; I’m looking for souvenirs to take home.”

“I’m certain we can find something for―careful, sir; your beach towel is coming undone from around your waist…”

“Sorry about that; my attempt at modesty is unraveling. Is that dolphin behind you a sock monkey?”

“Yes it is. We also have sharks, manta rays and alligators.”

“Perfect! I’ll take one of each. The ceramic bowl with flamingo handles would be perfect for mom; I’d like to get one of those also.”

“Anything else, sir?”

“As far as presents, yes― but I’d love a Swiss chocolate palm tree and a turtle for myself. Here’s my Master Card; no need to bag the chocolates, I’m eating them now.”

Don't get off the beach theme too soon. There are plenty of us at GA who could use a little Florida beach time about now.....

LOL... Yeah, the weather has been pretty brutal for most of the country so far this year.

I'll just blame it on Wayne and his prompts. Not sure how the hell I turned the five words this week into a vignette revolving around animals in South Florida but I guess that's the purpose of the prompts to begin with.

Whoa. For a second with the towel there I thought you were REALLY going far afield.... :0
LOL... What? It was a way of working in the towel into the story. I was thinking of all those no shirt, no shoes, no service signs and how sometimes people at bars and stores on the beach follow the letter but not the spirit of the sign! the little bathing suits (on men or women) sometimes seem more suggestive than complete nudity!

I thought get finally the beach towel off. And it's snowing here, just sayin...
I'm thinking of sitting out to work on my tan later today, will think of you when I spread out my beach towel. Actually wish we had snow, haven't seen any in over a year...

So, I'm sitting here enjoying my daily indulgence of a coffee mixed with a small scoop of hot chocolate.
Perusing the prompts, what should I find but this prompt that mentions chocolate. Being that I am a chocoholic that is what grabs my attention - though the reference to the flamingo handled bowl had me flashing back to a lamp (with a red light!) made entirely of different sized shells that my family inherited from my grandma.
Back to the chocolate defence. I'm trying to be good but since I haven't had some for a while, I think a Cadbury bar filled with peanuts and pretzels will be on the menu some time today.
I will probably think of you when I'm eating it. Whether it will be to thank you for the tasty treat or curse you for the unwanted calories, that remains to be seen.

LOL... forget the calories, enjoy the chocolate!

I may be slightly partial to that gift from the gods myself :D
