This is some great advice for writers and for readers alike.  Since I'm an author myself, I try really hard not to be horrible when I write a review or leave a comment.  If I have something really bad to say, I tend to not say it all unless backed into a corner about it. 

I do try to include the positives when I do negatives.  It's very rare that everything is horrible on a story.
