Pain is said to be a remembered experience. Perhaps that’s objectively and scientifically accurate but not if the pain never eases, never ceases. How do we move on when loss feels larger than life itself?

Meet John, a widower at far too young an age, feeling very alone in a new, old home in a new, old neighborhood in a quirky southern town.

The supporting cast of characters will leave you laughing while John learns to live again. His constant canine companion, Marshall, leads him forward with his nose for good people.

Enter Mauvin, a young man with a brand of pain that no one should shoulder alone. And maybe, just maybe, he’s not alone?

In Dog We Trust might serve as a reminder that dog is god spelled backwards. The nose knows.
