When dragonslayer Daegon and his squire Birten are sent on a run-of-the-mill dragonslaying quest, they aren't expecting anything too extreme.  But a dangerous plan is afoot, and they're in for a lot more than they bargained for.  Sure, they expected dragons.  But dark magic, mysterious artifacts, and secretive organizations all come into play as they race against the clock to prevent the evil plan from unfolding.
