Cozy Contemplations - 22. Chapter 22 Holiday Musings

Holidays are a time for reflection, and a reminder for me to appreciate the good, and learn from the bad. Peace to my friends.

Cozy Contemplations

Chapter 22 Holiday Musings

Consequences can often loom

Bringing on a tangible gloom

Or yet, a way to force a bloom

To brighten up the darkest room

Whether action or reaction

Spurring on a life’s redaction

Or a sparkling interaction

Lending fuel to new attraction

Such possibilities abound

Joys can be lost, but also found

We can’t let fear run us aground

What goes around, does come around

There is a point to my musing

Humanity’s oft confusing

At our worst when we’re accusing

Blind to what we could be losing

Yes, there’s a chance that we will bleed

If, with effort, we don’t succeed

Though it could nurture hidden seed

Whose growth may bring us what we need

Life has a way of balancing scales

The moral and message of many tales

Where mortal man overcomes his fails

Putting oar to water when wind spurns his sails

In the end our strength is community

And we can’t live life with impunity

Nor from pain do we have immunity

But with hope we engage ingenuity

And weather unfair incongruity

We are resilient if nothing else. Happy Holidays. I know we all have blessings to be thankful for, even if our lives are not ideal. :)

The world cries out for more sentiments like these, my dear friend...keep inspiring us with your clear wisdom.

And, y'all can jump down my throat for being non-pc, but  Merry Christmas to All, and to All a Good Night.

For my other friends, Happy Hannukah, and God Jul!

You say it so very well. I very much like the second and fifth stanzas; they hit home to me especially. This poem is itself a blessing.

:kiss:  “Joys can be lost, but also found. We can’t let fear run us aground”  There is a lot of hope in those words.  Fear can keep up from experiencing some of life’s greatest joys. :)

Hi,

Wonderful poem as usual and reflective! Yes, I do have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season. The main thing was my mom finally accepted me! How are you?
